🌱 Taking Local Action for the Greater Good™ 🌍 Gray Ridge Egg Farms is proud to receive the "Canadian Grocer Impact Award 2024" for sustainability! This recognition strengthens our commitment to reducing our environmental footprint, led by our solar energy initiative. Since late 2023, we’ve installed solar panels on our grading stations and producer farms, generating up to 2,000 kWdc of clean energy - enough to power 50-65 households daily. Some farms are anticipated to be 100% solar-powered, and our Listowel and Strathroy grading stations are expected to reduce energy use by up to13% & 26% respectively. Adapting solar power is helping us set a new standard for sustainability in the grocery industry. We’re proud of our team’s hard work in driving us toward a brighter, more sustainable future. 🌞 Learn More: https://lnkd.in/gi3KKdm3 #solar #sustainability #grayridgeeggs

We're excited to share that our CEO Bill Gray's charitable organization Bill & Lynne Gray Foundation has made a heartfelt donation of $2.2 million to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation. This donation will fully fund a much needed MRI scanner for the hospital and will enhance their early stage diagnostic capabilities and will bring the SMGH Foundation closer to meeting its $5 million goal. We're thrilled to share the fantastic experience our team members, Hollie Chavarria, CHRL and Derek Beyer, MBA had at the Grow Our People Unconference presented by Loft32. The Grow Our People Unconference provided an opportunity for professionals in the Agricultural Industry to come together, learn, grow, and connect. This year marked our second involvement in this enriching event. The Unconference was not only a platform for learning but also a hub for forging meaningful connections. We're delighted to have made wonderful connections and learned a great deal from fellow professionals in the field. Our affiliate company, Gray Ridge Eggs, is a proud sponsor of this event and extends its support to initiatives that empower professionals in our industry. Here's to continued growth, learning, and collaboration in the Agricultural Industry! #GrowOurPeople #Agriculture #ProfessionalDevelopment #Community #Connections

Thank you to all the farmers. Let’s celebrate them, not just today but every day of the year.
We’re egg-cited for #CdnAgDay on February 13. It’s a celebration of made-in-Canada food and those who help bring it from farm to table. In honour of this day, we asked egg farmers to share their stories about life on the farm, sustainability and what makes them proud to produce local food for Canadians. Check out what they had to say: https://lnkd.in/gmdx5Nfq

Each year, we make it a priority to give back to our community, and 2023 has been no exception. This year, on behalf of our local egg farmers, we donated to Salvation Army in Strathroy and Listowel. We also collected over 400 essential hygiene items to give to the Alisa & Craig Area Food Bank. Special shoutout to our team members who made this possible. We are proud to have such compassionate people on our team. As we bid farewell to 2023, we're filled with excitement for possibilities that 2024 holds. Happy Holidays everyone 🙂 #GrayRidgeEggFarms
