Today, our event team and foster families took to the heart of Toronto to share our mission and vision with RBC mortgage leaders. I had the incredible opportunity to lead a session for over 600 professionals, highlighting who we are and the impactful work we do. Together, we proudly accepted a $5,000 cheque in support of our mission! The day culminated in a wonderful meet-and-greet with more than 12 foster families, creating connections and sharing stories. Thank you to everyone who joined us in making a difference!

There are many remarkable ways kindness can change lives. From raising puppies to raising awareness, LFCDG experiences the difference you make every day. Now, supporters are coming together to make a difference at LFCDG for generations to come. LFCDG’s history-making fundraising campaign, The Difference, has an ambitious goal of $50 million in support of a purpose-built national Dog Guide training school. LFCDG is excited to have secured $42 million for this goal, but the remainder is crucial, and it can’t be met without the support of people like you. Each special gift to The Difference campaign will help make thousands of Dog Guide matches possible in the new state-of-the-art school. To donate and learn more about how you can make a difference in the future of LFCDG, please visit The Difference website, call 1(800) 768-3030 or (905) 842-2891 ext. 218, or email thedifference@dogguides.com #lfcdogguides #differencecampaign

In September, we proudly celebrated the achievements of more than 20 graduates through both virtual and, for the first time since before the pandemic, in-person ceremonies. Graduates from across the country were matched with their life-changing, four-legged partners thanks to the incredible efforts of foster families, volunteers, donors, and dedicated staff. Together, we’ve transformed lives and created lasting partnerships. Thank you for making this possible! Watch the September Virtual Graduation on our YouTube channel: https://lnkd.in/gJZmRExa

Our staff and clients can’t wait until we move to our new building, but we think our Dog Guides are even more excited! They can’t wait to stay in 5-star accommodations and run, play and learn on our new 89,000 square foot property. However, we need your help before moving day! LFCDG is on a mission to raise $50 Million for our new national Dog Guides training facility. We are at $41.5 Million and know we can reach our goal with your help. Learn more and donate to The Difference campaign on our website: https://lnkd.in/gJUN8imX Our new school will not only include ample space for our Dog Guides in training to learn, but room to play and live as well. With an 11,419 square foot play area and 128 kennels in 7 kennel areas, our Dog Guides in training will be at their best for both instructors and clients. Each kennel opens to a common interior play area with large garage doors. These doors open at both ends to provide fresh air, natural light, and a play area year-round. Our Dog Guides in training deserve the very best during their stay here. Donate today! Photo description: an Autism Assistance Dog Guide outside in a park wearing a red Dog Guide harness.

September 30th: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Today, we honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities. Publicly acknowledging the tragic history and lasting impact of residential schools is a crucial step in the reconciliation process. In observance of this day, we will raise a special flag, and we invite everyone to take a moment to reflect on how we can each contribute to truth and reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.
