The Macdonald-Laurier Institute is pleased to welcome Dr. Ramona Coelho as a new Senior Fellow! Dr. Coelho is a well-recognized advocate for vulnerable populations, frequently lending her expertise to legislative discussions. She has served as an expert witness before both the House and Senate committees examining Bill C-7, which addressed Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD). Additionally, she contributed to the federal Special Joint Committee on MAiD. Her dedication remains to ensuring that the voices of vulnerable populations are heard in crucial policy discussions. "I am thrilled to welcome Ramona to our roster of world class experts and I am confident that her contributions will make an impact on the public conversation around MAiD and healthcare reform," notes Peter Copeland, MLI's Deputy Director of Domestic Policy.
