It was a perfect sunny day to ditch the office and go on a building tour with BOMA Edmonton’s Marketing and Emerging Leaders committees. (I’m in the former since I’m too old to be “emerging” in the latter) For today's tour, Janelle Brenner from Maclab Development Group was gracious enough to walk us through their new Laurent Student Housing near U of A and answer the innumerable questions that we had. This amazing building can house nearly 500 students and its innovative design will make you feel bad about the amenities in your own homes and offices. Not only are there fitness and event rooms, but here you will also find dedicated quiet workspaces, bike storage, and outdoor patios. And if you’re no longer a student, you can also check out The Eleanor adjacent to it.
