Last week, we had a great time in NOLA with St. Thomas Community Health Center installing the new MedCenters at the clinics. We are so excited to see patients use them. MedCenter kiosks and Community Health Centers are a great combo. They help increase adherence for patients as they can get their prescriptions filled at the point of care. www.medavail.com #340b #fqhcs #chc #pharmacyautomation #patientaccess #patientengagement

What a great video detailing Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System partnering with Louisiana State University in student health. We agree that the best way to set up students for a lifetime of success starts with their health. Keep an eye out for the MedCenter dispensing kiosk. We have a cameo at the 23-second mark. #studenthealth #patientaccess #pharmacyautomation #futureofpharmacy www.medavail.com https://lnkd.in/gJ6RAexM

As we celebrate the beginning of a new year, we can't help but reminisce a bit about 2023. Here's a look back at some accomplishments, milestones, and memories of 2023. Thanks to our customers, partners, and employees for making this year one for the record books. We are excited about the growth as more patients will have access to their medication at the point of care. www.medavail.com #patientaccess #ruralhealth #fqhc #rwhc #340b #pharmacyautomation #emergencymedicine #urgentcare

Great article by Dr. Benjamin Barlow as seen in MedCity News. The UC industry can alleviate the stress put on EDs by helping providers and patients better understand how they are best suited to deliver urgent, non-life-threatening care.

A great article in Pharmacy Times highlights pharmacists' role in supporting patient care as part of a team and alleviating physician burnout. Author Shannon Reidt calls out that technology will play an essential role in allowing pharmacists to work at the top of their licenses as they are also facing burnout and labor issues today. Pharmacists are already well-placed to support patients in chronic disease management based on their training, interactions, and experience. As Reidt states, innovative technology will have to streamline operations and lift administrative burdens so pharmacists can do what they do best: help patients. https://lnkd.in/guFR4G-J

An interesting look at the first month's results of Uber Health's support of non-emergency patient transportation to health department appointments. The program aims to reduce the 50% no-show rate at some rural Mississippi health department appointments. The program is being funded through state and federal grants to address health disparities. #ruralhealth #patientaccess https://lnkd.in/giKH-4ux

Interesting research out of NYU Grossman School of Medicine showed that patients who live in neighborhoods with higher levels of poverty and unemployment are less likely to fill their life-saving heart-failure drug prescriptions than those living in wealthier areas. Their findings highlight the importance of considering neighborhood socioeconomic status when developing interventions to ensure people with heart failure have access to their medication. https://lnkd.in/g2nFT6MX
