Convenience food and drink are sometimes necessary. When you're on the go with kids drop off at school, in a rush to get to work or maybe you forgot your carefully prepared lunch at home! As part of the Healthy Menu Choices Act since January 1, 2017, all food service chains with 20+ locations are required to display the number of calories in the food and drink items they sell. You may have also noticed the following statement on restaurant menus: “Adults and youth (ages 13 and older) need an average of 2,000 calories a day, and children (ages 4 to 12) need an average of 1,500 calories a day. However, individual needs vary.” Make informed choices! Easily find out nutritional information by typing into your search bar: "[restaurant name] nutrition information" You hold the power in choosing what you buy and what you consume.
