Super happy after all this hard green chemistry work with PATCHAM FZC to see that we were able to remove lead from labs! No more need to use lead based microfil and expose laboratory personel to lead. Congrats to Dr. Hanna Napieczyńska and lab of Dr. Kristin Kräker for this amazing work with MediLumine's Vascupaint showing detailed vasculature across various organs using Bruker's Skyscan 1276 scanner. #lifesciences #preclinical #microCT #medilumine

Did you know that the vegetables you buy at the supermarket are alive? Indeed, they do not die the moment they have been harvested! And there is a good chance they may be still alive in your plate. We saw this live at our last installation of MediLumine PRISM Photon counting imaging system in the laboratory of Arturo Duarte Sierra at the Université Laval. Indeed, what you see lighting up in picture here is lettuce generating reactive oxygen species in the presence of dihydroethidium which becomes fluorescent when reacting to superoxide anion (O₂⁻·). Stay tuned to the important research from Dr. Sierra's laboratory on improving quality of fruits and vegetables! A huge thanks to Charles Bahout and Maxime Abran in making this installation come to life. MediLumine's PRISM in vivo imaging system with Oxford Instruments Andor EMCCD's camera is a cost effective solution (best price to performance ratio on the market) that enables real time photon counting for all of your in vivo research applications in biology and medicine .... and also now plant molecular biology! #lifesciences #plantbiology #molecularimaging
