This past August, Nicholas Hui, our co-founder and CPO had the opportunity to attend the Rexall Care Network 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁! ⛳ What made this event truly special was its mission. Since 2019, the Rexall Care Network has raised $1.7 million to launch initiatives that support underserved, unpaid caregivers—the unsung heroes who dedicate their lives to caring for others. The tournament united healthcare professionals, caregivers, and advocates to raise awareness and funds for remarkable charities, namely the 𝗟𝗲𝘂𝗸𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮 & 𝗟𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗮 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗮, 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹, which empower individuals through research, support, and education. Thank you, Rexall Care Network, for organizing this inspiring event. For older adults, the hospitalization rate jumps to 𝟭𝟰,𝟬𝟬𝟬, often leading to serious complications. Vaccinations are particularly important for adults aged 𝟳𝟱+ and those aged 𝟲𝟬+ in nursing homes or chronic care facilities, as they are at higher risk for RSV complications. Fortunately, in many Canadian provinces, pharmacists are now authorized to administer RSV vaccines, increasing accessibility for these vulnerable populations. MedMe is proud to continue supporting pharmacists in the fight against RSV this season. Let’s work together to spread awareness and protect our communities from RSV! #RSVAwareness #PreventRSV #HealthcareProviders #MedMe #CanadaRSV #MedMeHealth

💊✨ 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆! ✨💊 Today, we celebrate the invaluable contributions of pharmacy technicians who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure patients receive the best care possible. As the backbone of the pharmacy team, they ensure that patients receive safe and timely access to their medications, manage complex workflows, and offer crucial support to pharmacists and patients alike. In some provinces, they also assist in point-of-care testing, educate patients on medical devices, and—after specialized training—administer vaccines. With flu and cold season upon us, it’s important to recognize their role in vaccine administration. In certain provinces, pharmacy technicians can deliver flu, COVID-19, and RSV vaccines, helping to protect our communities. To all the pharmacy technicians out there—thank you! #NationalPharmacyTechniciansDay #RxTechDay #PharmacyTech #MedMeHealth

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 & 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐧𝐞𝐬 - 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐅𝐥𝐮 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧! 💉❤️ Did you know that only 𝟐𝟖% 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝟏𝟖-𝟔𝟒 received the flu shot last season? Among adults with chronic medical conditions, this number rises slightly to 𝟒𝟒%—but these figures are still far from the national vaccination goal of 𝟖𝟎%. While vaccination rates among older adults aged 65+ are closer to the target at 𝟕𝟑% , there’s still room for improvement. We all have a role to play in keeping our loved ones safe, especially those who are more vulnerable to severe flu complications. 🔊 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐮 𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭? Getting vaccinated is your best defense against the flu. It lowers your risk of illness, helps prevent serious respiratory complications, and reduces the spread of the virus to others. The flu vaccine is recommended for nearly everyone aged 6 months and older, with the best time to get vaccinated being in the fall or early winter. It’s a simple step that can make a big difference in keeping our communities healthy and preventing our healthcare systems from becoming overwhelmed. 𝐀𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐌𝐞, 𝐰𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬. 👨👩👧👦 💞 For 𝟐𝟏% 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐭 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧, the main reason was simply not getting around to it. At MedMe, we’ve built a platform for pharmacies to address this issue. Our scheduler gathers consent and intake in advance, making sure you can get your shot as efficiently as possible on your appointment day. 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆! 🌎 Today, we celebrate the vital role mental health plays in pharmacy practice, patient care, and our daily lives. Initiatives like the Bloom Program in Nova Scotia are enhancing access to mental health and substance use care. Through Bloom, pharmacists provide personalized care and advocacy, share information about local resources, assist in navigating the mental health system, and help manage medication-related issues. MedMe is proud to have supported over 800 appointments through Bloom, significantly improving patient outcomes and making a positive impact.
