TONIGHT: Our friends at the CMHA Halifax-Dartmouth Branch are launching the 26th Annual Mosaic for Mental Health Art Exhibition and Sale! Over 1,200 6” x 6” mixed-medium tiles made with love and compassion by artists from all over Nova Scotia will go on sale tonight at 6PM on their website here: https://lnkd.in/gxDXh9kH You don't want to miss this chance to land some one-of-a-kind locally made art — especially when proceeds support CMHA Halifax-Dartmouth Branch's social connection programs for adults living with mental illness. All tiles will be on display at Alderney Landing, The Craig Gallery from now until October 29th. I’m honored to be co-leading (with Nanette Shroff) a brand-new OCD Parent & Caregiver Peer Support Group, made possible with the vision of our founder Julie MacDonald, Ph.D. and suppport of the Canadian Mental Health Association, NS Division and the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia. This couldn’t come at a better time, as October 13-19 is International OCD Awareness Week! This is a global effort to dispel myths, break stigma, and raise awareness about OCD. If you’re a parent or caregiver of a child with OCD, you know how overwhelming and isolating the journey can be. This group is here to offer a safe, supportive space where you can connect with others who truly understand. 📅 Our first meeting is happening on Thursday, October 17th, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Zoom. We’ll be meeting monthly, and I truly believe this group will be a lifeline for many. If you or someone you know could benefit from this, please don’t hesitate to reach out or help spread the word. 🩵 Together, we can support one another and navigate this journey. October 10 is World Mental Health Day and this year’s theme is Mental Health at Work. According to the World Health Organization, 60% of the global population is at work. That’s why it’s essential we all work together to create safe, supportive workplaces and mitigate risks to employee mental health. We offer the St. John Ambulance Mental Health Literacy Grant to individuals and organizations looking to improve their mental health literacy on the job. This grant covers registration fees for mental wellness training courses designed to reduce stigma and promote mental wellness in the workplace. Participants gain skills and knowledge to better identify when a colleague is in distress and how to support them towards a resilient outcome. Apply here: https://lnkd.in/ebQvYW-M Please share to spread the word! St. John Ambulance NS/PEI Council

Incredible work that captures how stigma makes it difficult to ask for support, even from those closest to you. Thank you for your thoughtful and creative approach, Naqsh Sagar - and congratulations on your win! We'd also like to thank the folks at the Ice Awards for selecting us as the community partner for the annual Young Creatives Competition, sponsored by PATTISON Outdoor.
I’m incredibly honoured to be the winner of ICE Young Creatives Competition 2024. Designed for Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia, the campaign highlights the possibility of almost every Nova Scotian knowing someone who is having a hard time. It depicts the invisible battle of people unable to share their true feelings. This achievement wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering support of my amazing team at Wunder. 🧊✨🙌 #ICE2024
