Story time: 📘 Almost 10 years ago, I got the chance to work at a life-changing startup, thanks to my amazing boss-turned-friend and mentor, Brent MacDonald . He introduced me to podcasting and the Propel ICT accelerator, where I met incredible people like Al Sturgeon , Yves Boudreau , Marc Albert , Kelly Lawson , Trevor MacAusland , Jacques Desjardins , Sally Ng, ICD.D ,Jon Jewett , Nathan Armstrong , David McNally , Brett Payne , Jaime Alboim , Ashley Abernethy and so many others . Al’s advice on not being a pretender was a game-changer. Learning how to give prolific customer service and align with your sales and marketing teams was like a light went off for me. Swipe through for some memories. During those 12 weeks, everyone kept saying, “You need to meet Dan Martell I started following him, and our shared values around helping others and youth resonated. Fast forward: That startup got acquired, I launched my own business, and Milberry Marketing & Strategy has grown into a full team, serving clients across North America. 🤯 Last week, I had a full-circle moment when I met Dan in person with some of my old Propel crew in Moncton. Wild, right!? If I have learned anything over the past ten years it’s these things: 🔹Aim to work with others who work as hard as you or inspire you- it triggers you to want to do better and be accountable le to. 🔹Invest in your business and yourself as a professional. When you do, people want to know what you know, how your getting results etc. 🔹Give back to the industry and get out on stages and don’t worry what people think. They are going to talk anyways so give em something to talk about or help them with what your saying. 🔹Remember who believes in you and check in often. These mentors, colleagues, friends all bring such valuable insight and so do we when we share it.
