That's a wrap! Another Fabulous Stampede under my belt. What was extra nostalgic was attending one of my very first clients' Stampede parties. They invite me every year. It's so cool to see this company grow as it has. The best part is that two of the employees have been with this company over 10 years that I hired. Plus, I hired them both prior when I was HR manager at Rockwell Automation. So fulfilling! MAC Engineering Inc. | MAC Automation Inc. Look who I helped nurture this morning!! This Beauty hit my window and was stunned for around 20 minutes. I was able to touch it many times and it drank water from a lid in my hand. I was sending it positive loving vibes that it will be ok. Then like that, it "snapped" out of its stun, took some more water from me, laid a big poop and flew off!! I am not a cat lady, I don't own any animals, but I LOVE feeding MY squirrels. Of course, many birds come too, including amazing wood peckers, bluejays, grouse, wild turkey, and crows. One crow had a bad foot, it hobbled as it came to the seeds and drank water. Now weeks later, it barely has a limp. I am so pleased that this little guy is getting healthier with my food and water! Take care of you and each other! Have a super weekend Linkedin peeps!! #HRexpert #leadership #kindness #business #innovation MillerNet HR & Business Solutions Inc.

I LOVE paying it forward! I hosted Career Coaching for the amazing women at the The Brenda Strafford Foundation. Having hired over 2300 people in 24 years with a 94% retention rate (12+months), I know what gets your resume noticed. Most importantly, it is the skills you need to interview that lands you the role. And, it is perfectly fine to have a two-page resume! #careercoach #HRAdvisor #career #resume #mockinterview #business

🔥 Meet the HR Expert and Influencer Fighting Workplace Bullies Head-On! 🔥 💪 “Bully Buster” - that’s what they call me. Employees - do you need help navigating these difficult waters? Employers, I am seeing a few too many bullies in leadership roles that are 100% impacting your profits big time. Let's stop that. When workplace bullies rear their ugly heads, I’m not afraid to go toe-to-toe with them or the lawyers protecting them. I’ve navigated treacherous corporate waters and secured large settlements for employees too long ignored or brushed aside. ($70k was my largest settlement to date) 🌪️ Turning the Tide on Bullies When employees feel unsafe or unappreciated, they deserve more than hollow policies—they need a champion. And that’s where I come in! Here’s my approach: Navigating the Legal Maze: I empower employers to dismantle toxic behavior swiftly and effectively, while remaining compliant with labor laws. No loophole or jargon can obscure the path to justice. Securing Settlements: Whether it’s sitting across from tough legal teams or negotiating airtight agreements, I’ve secured significant settlements that recognize the suffering of those impacted and serve as a warning to the bullies. Transformative Policies: Crafting comprehensive, actionable policies is key. I guide companies in developing protocols that not only protect employees but foster an atmosphere where no one is left behind. Tailored Solutions: One-size-fits-all doesn’t cut it. I customize strategies to each organization’s unique culture, helping them proactively identify, prevent, and stamp out bullying behavior. Building a Culture of Trust: With strategic training, anonymous reporting channels, and consistent enforcement, I ensure workplaces don’t just preach inclusivity—they live it! ⚖️ Employers, Take Note! 🔍 Signs your organization may need an overhaul: Employees afraid to report due to retaliation. Lack of awareness around what constitutes bullying. Misplaced faith in high-performing bullies. High turnover rates, especially in marginalized groups. 🎯 Success Looks Like: Increased morale and productivity. Trustworthy, transparent reporting mechanisms. Inclusive, clear policies that empower all employees. Together, let’s create a corporate world where bullies are shown the door, and inclusive, respectful cultures thrive. Let’s be the champions employees deserve. #BullyBuster #HRExpert #LeadershipMatters #Innovation MillerNet HR & Business Solutions Inc.

    ### Navigating the Remote Work Revolution: A Balanced Perspective As we move forward in this new era of work, the clamor for remote opportunities continues to grow. However, it's crucial to acknowledge that while remote work offers undeniable benefits, it's not a one-size-fits-all solution. Here's a deeper look into why some companies can't always accommodate remote work and why demanding it might backfire. 🔹 **In-Office Advantages** **Collaboration & Innovation**: There's something about the energy and spontaneity of face-to-face interactions that can spark creativity and drive innovation. **Cultural Integration**: Building a strong company culture is more intuitive through direct interactions, which are especially vital for onboarding and mentoring new employees. **Security**: Certain industries require the enhanced security of an office environment due to sensitive information and compliance regulations. 🔹 **Remote Work Benefits** **Improved Work-Life Balance**: Employees enjoy less commuting, more family time, and a generally more flexible lifestyle. **Increased Productivity**: With fewer office distractions and optimized personal work environments, many report higher productivity levels. **Wider Talent Pool**: Remote work policies break geographical barriers, allowing companies to hire from a global pool of talent. 🔹 **Challenges of Remote Work Demands** **Isolation**: Remote work can lead to feelings of disconnection, which may affect mental health and team cohesion. **Workplace Inequity**: A divide between remote and on-site staff can lead to perceived inequalities and communication breakdowns. **Performance Measurement**: Remote setups complicate tracking and evaluating performance, potentially leading to management and fairness issues. 🔹 **The Way Forward** The future of work isn't necessarily remote but should be flexible. Companies need to assess role suitability for remote work and strive for a balance that meets both employee needs and business goals. Transparency in communication about these decisions can pave the way for a more inclusive and adaptable work environment. As HR professionals, we must guide our organizations through these decisions with a clear understanding of both opportunities and limitations. Let’s continue to adapt and innovate, ensuring that our workplaces remain both productive and responsive to the needs of our diverse workforce. #HR #Leadership #RemoteWork #FutureOfWork #BusinessStrategy #WorkplaceCulture MillerNet HR & Business Solutions Inc.

Imagine you're in a game where each player decides whether to share some of their stickers with the group. Sharing your stickers isn't just nice, it also makes the game more fun for everyone. But here's the cool part: when you share, it inspires others to do the same—even people who aren’t playing the game with you directly! Scientists ran an experiment to see how this works. They set up a game where people could give some of their "money" (just points in the game) to help everyone playing. They found that if one person was generous, the next person was more likely to be generous too. This wasn't just luck; it was a pattern that kept happening over and over, like a domino effect. The researchers saw that this generosity didn’t just stay between two people. It spread far and wide, almost like a kindness virus! If you were nice and shared, not only did your friends start sharing more, but their friends did too, and even their friends’ friends—up to three "levels" away from you! Why does this happen? It's all about the connections we have with each other, kind of like a spider web. When one part of the web moves, the whole web can feel it. This shows us that what we do can influence far more people than we might think. It’s like when one person in class helps out, and suddenly everyone is helping each other more. This isn't just about being nice; it's about how being nice can create a wave of good stuff that spreads through groups of people, making whole communities better. Scientists think this could help explain why humans have learned to work together so well over thousands of years. We’re kind of built to share and help each other out, and when we do, it makes all of us stronger. So next time you think your good actions don’t matter, remember, they could be starting a whole chain reaction of kindness! #HRexpert #mentalfortitude #business #innovation

If you had all the money you wanted, what would be your next desire? Health. If you don't take care of your health, you will not have a great quality of life in your later years. If you want your carcass to gracefully take you into your 90's, you MUST invest in your health. That is a good night's sleep - be protective of your sleep. And fortifying your mind. Amongst what is shown below. What do I mean by that? We give too much power to the comments and thoughts of others. Only YOU can let yourself be offended. And yes, there are offensive situations, but YOU decide how much or how little this is going to hit your heart. As my Sweet Mom used to say, "You want this to be your Golden years, not your Rusty years!". Aren't Mom's the wisest! Yes, I am tooting my horn. And you should do this when you can as well. A few months back I posted on how I am a bully buster AKA bad leaders/employers. In the last 6 months I have helped 8 employees navigate their employer issues. I have gone toe to toe verbally with Lawyers and the C-Suite and earned significant severances for these people who have been harassed, constructively dismissed or bullied. I recently received this heartfelt endorsement from a young woman who I helped earn her 19 weeks of severance compared to 1 week. ***I first heard about Patty from my HR/HSE Manager at the time, he sourced her from Linkedin after reading a post of hers. Patty had done an exceptional job as the representative for his grievance, that when horrific mistreatment came my direction she was my first contact. Patty really listens and has strong ethics, the way she steps up for people who are not being treated well by their employers is impressive. She is an awesome first point of contact because her legal knowledge is exceptional. For my circumstance her HR background was very helpful with my legal proceedings. Going toe to toe with a company for poor treatment can be very intimidating, lawyers are expensive and leave people feeling helpless. Patty is an excellent option to stand your ground because her pricing is very fair, way more affordable for the average person. When I reached out to Patty I was at an emotional low. She was very supportive and positive. She empowered me, brought me up when I was down and gave me HOPE. I appreciated her inspirational suggestions she offered for me to read and listen to. Patty is like a personal cheerleader, every conversation pumps you up. For the legal proceedings Patty was more than capable to address my former employers lawyer in every way to defend my position and maximise results. She is one strong negotiator. Patty really delivered.  I strongly recommend Patty for your grievances with your employer. I have referred her to those in need and they were very grateful for the reference. Check Patty out, you won't regret it. 😊**** If you need some insight into your rights as an employer and an employee, I would be happy to gift you a free consultation. patty@millernet.ca #bullybuster #HR #Employement #labourlaw #severance #negotiationskills #legal #HRexpert #leadership MillerNet HR & Business Solutions Inc.
