Not all disabilities are obvious. Users with low vision or cognitive differences, like dementia, can have trouble finding and using essential wheelchair components, making it more dangerous for them, and limiting their independence. Motion Composites now offers a new solution for wheelchair users with vision impairments or cognitive disabilities that has been specifically designed to enhance the identification of some key features of a wheelchair. Meet the Vision Package! 😉 This package is composed of bright orange components that significantly increase the wheelchair’s visibility, ensuring safety and ease of use for those with vision impairments, cognitive disabilities, or when environmental factors hinder sight. 🟠 Learn more! 👇 https://ow.ly/Kibo50TNLqt

Have you heard about the One-Arm-Drive (OAD)? Did you know that Motion Composites now offers it for Heavy-Duty (HD) capacity wheelchairs? 👀 The One-Arm-Drive is a mechanism that allows a wheelchair user who has a functional limitation in one upper extremity to control their wheelchair with one hand only. Motion Composites offers its own version of this mobility accessory, which together with our lineup of manual wheelchairs can help preserve the independence of the wheelchair user. 😍 AVAILABLE for heavy-duty wheelchairs. 👌 It won’t restrict you from making changes in the Seat-to-floor height and the Center of Gravity easily. 🙌 The axle is removable, so the wheelchair can fold. 💪 Compatible with wheelchairs of up to 20’’ wide. The One Arm Drive is available in all our folding wheelchair models. The intention of a custom-fit ultralightweight manual wheelchair is propulsion efficiency. The mode of propulsion can be done by hand, by the lower extremities, or a combination of both. 😉 No matter the power source, propulsion efficiency is maximized by the wheelchair user’s ability to propel throughout their day in both linear and stop-and-go propulsion patterns. Whether you are evaluating a brand-new wheelchair or looking to adjust your current system, we will discuss a few ways that you can positively affect the efficiency of propulsion and your overall health. 👌 Learn more! 👇 https://ow.ly/xXbl50TG6il

It’s Advocacy Day! It is the last day of CRT Awareness Week 2024, but not the least important one. 🙌 Today, Michael Hughes, the US National Sales Director for Motion Composites, reflects on his role as the Vice Chair of AAHomecare's Complex Rehab Mobility Council and how this can impact CRT. “I appreciate the opportunity to help lead the CRMC and look forward to addressing the key issues impacting complex rehab technology, like the Choices for Increased Mobility Act. Individuals should be able to choose whether a carbon fiber or titanium wheelchair is right for them.” It's not too late to participate and show your support in the H.R. 5371 and S. 5154. Make sure to contact your Senators and Representative by sending them a pre-built message using the link below. 💪 Show your support, click here! 👇 https://ow.ly/6WSS50TEkGH #CRTAwareness #CRTAwareness2024 #CRT #ManualWheelchairs #wheelchairlife #MotionComposites

Do you understand the important role dealers play in providing mobility products to the disabled community? 🤔 Without dealers, we would not be able to continue producing wheelchairs. The dealers work tirelessly to continue supplying the disabled community with the mobility products they need, the extra-long hours they work, and how diligently they continue helping their communities. CRT Awareness is important, and we need to continue to educate the legislators so that the hard work of the dealers is not in vain, and the right equipment can get to the people who need it. Complex Rehab Technology allows people with disabilities all around the world to do more with their energy, reduce pain and spasms, and live more independently. 🙌 With this in mind, we asked our colleague Christie Hamstra, PT, MSPT, DPT, ATP, who is also a part of the Clinician’s Task Force, to tell us why CRT Awareness is important for her as a clinician. “The therapist plays a crucial role in evaluating and justifying the need for customized equipment for our clients. Clinicians who fully embrace this responsibility often achieve clinical distinction through specialized training and certifications. However, productivity pressures in many clinical settings can deter new clinicians from entering this field. I hope that by continuing to build awareness of Complex Rehab Technology and the significant impact it has on the lives of the end user, more clinicians will feel empowered to enter seating and mobility and make it even better.” #CRTAwareness #CRTAwareness2024 #ComplexRehabTechnology #manualwheelchairs
