Motion Composites’ Vision Package is a series of high-visibility components specifically designed to enhance the identification of some key features of a wheelchair. 🙌 Meet Shannon O’Connor, MS, OTR/L, an Occupational Therapist who specializes in low-vision services. She began her journey as an OT with the older adult population which led her to grow her expertise in low vision, as well as, seating and mobility. 👌 Shannon shared with Motion Composites why in her experience, a product like the Vision Package was needed in the market. “The Vision Package is a product that has finally arrived to serve our visually impaired population. A new innovation to low vision, The Vision Package’s built-in high contrast eliminates clinicians' need to add brightly colored tape to make a wheelchair functional. The Vision Package now provides built-in high contrast on essential functions such as brake handles, locks on leg rests, footplates, and armrests. The increased high contrast makes it easier for visually impaired clients to identify and access key features on their wheelchair, which reduces their risk of accidents. The overall benefit is that clients are empowered to navigate their world safely and independently.” Learn more about the Vision Package! 👇 https://ow.ly/tkzS50TS1Ol

Our team recently delivered two Custom Helio A7 Manual Wheelchairs for conjoined twins. The chairs are connected in the middle, using two large outer wheels and a center pivoting caster in the rear. After months of work by many advocates at NSM, the school district, the twins' therapist and Motion Composites, we were able to secure funding for these chairs.

Not all disabilities are obvious. Users with low vision or cognitive differences, like dementia, can have trouble finding and using essential wheelchair components, making it more dangerous for them, and limiting their independence. Motion Composites now offers a new solution for wheelchair users with vision impairments or cognitive disabilities that has been specifically designed to enhance the identification of some key features of a wheelchair. Meet the Vision Package! 😉 This package is composed of bright orange components that significantly increase the wheelchair’s visibility, ensuring safety and ease of use for those with vision impairments, cognitive disabilities, or when environmental factors hinder sight. 🟠 Learn more! 👇 https://ow.ly/Kibo50TNLqt
