#MotoCanada and #CanadianQuadCouncil Partner to Grow Trail Access in Canada Markham, ON. While ATV, Side by Side and off-road motorcycle sales and usage continue to grow in Canada, Moto Canada and the Canadian Quad Council (CQC) are teaming up to help more Canadians ride and have access to trails for years to come. With a new Prime Minister and a new federal government coming in 2025, the time is right to make a strong case for support at a variety of levels of government across the country. As a result, CQC and Moto Canada are embarking on a nationwide survey of Canada’s motorized trail network to understand and articulate the state of the motorized trail network in Canada. “We’re a country that loves the outdoors,” said Landon French, President & CEO of Moto Canada. “The ATV was invented here, and Canadians have a long tradition of exploring our land and communities through two wheels, or four. Having a secure and robust trail network that is sustainable for years to come is important to our industry and our culture as Canadians.” Through the member organizations of #CQC, other motorized trail organizations and everyday riders, Moto Canada and CQC are undertaking this study to form a clear picture of the state of our trails in Canada. The study will also look at threats and opportunities while celebrating best practices and solutions that keep our trails safe and sustainable through stewardship practices that respect communities and the environment. “With this fresh information, we firmly believe we can better manage our trails and find ways to generate the funds needed for the future,” said Peter Melish, President of the CQC. “We’re calling on all motorized trail organizations and individual riders to participate as we take this important snapshot of our network and what lies ahead.” The survey will be distributed shortly in French and English and will be published later in the year. It will be made up of questions for trail organizations and separate questions for everyday trail riders. Responses will be due by the end of April 2025. A final report will be compiled and will be available to every organization and person that participates. “We deeply value the work of CQC and all off-road organizations. This effort will make sure we have the correct strategy and support for off-road activities for the future.” said French. Read Full Press Release: https://lnkd.in/g8vyApM7

Moto Canada pushes back against U.S. tariffs, supports Canada’s reciprocal counter-tariffs MARKHAM, ON: The decision by the #UnitedStates to impose #tariffs on #Canadian goods is a selfish, harmful and short-sighted move that will significantly impact #motorcycle, #ATV, and off-road vehicle jobs in the United States and Canada as Moto Canada repeats its call for the tariffs to end. #MotoCanada also expects Canadian counter-tariffs on American-made ATV’s and Side x Sides to take effect before the end of March, doing further damage to the industry and threatening more jobs in the US and Canada. As Moto Canada stated in February, we understand and support a strong Canadian response, counter-tariffs on motorcycles and the parts needed to maintain them will heavily affect our industry. #Tariffs on parts and motorcycles will affect Canadian dealerships, hindering their ability to buy, sell, repair and service riders, leading to possible job losses. Impacts on our dealerships, repair shops and manufacturing facilities will leave hardworking Canadians without jobs and drive-up costs for the 2.2 million Canadians who ride motorcycles, ATVs, Side by Sides and scooters. American factories on the other hand, have the ability to simply ship products to other countries. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g2htQSQN
