At MPAC, celebrating Black Joy goes beyond recognition—it’s about amplifying voices, embracing identity, and fostering an environment where people feel empowered to be their authentic selves. We were honoured to welcome Ontario-based entrepreneur and corporate leader, Fenton Jagdeo, Jr. 🍞, for a powerful conversation during our all-employee #BHM2025 Virtual Leader Chat. His insights on leadership, innovation and resilience sparked meaningful discussions on how we can continue to create space for diverse perspectives and drive positive change. A huge thank you to the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism Office, Black Employee Network Employee Resource Group, and employee-led #BlackHistoryMonth Committee at MPAC for their dedication to building an inclusive, empathetic, and engaging culture in our workplace and communities.
You ever notice how the best decisions aren’t made in boardrooms? They’re made in the moments before—when someone dares to ask a better question. That’s what we did at the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation. (Btw, this conversation almost happened over a screen. But some topics? They deserve to be in the room). Because real leadership? It’s not about titles, policies, or processes—it’s about trust. It’s about seeing the future before it arrives and making decisions that don’t just keep up with change, but create it. At MPAC, we tackled the tough stuff. How do you drive innovation without exhausting your team? How do you embed EDIA into decision-making so it fuels growth, not fatigue? And how do you lead with impact—without losing yourself in the process? And here’s the truth—imposter syndrome doesn’t go away at the executive level. The best leaders aren’t the ones without doubt—they’re the ones who keep moving anyway. Because leadership isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about having the nerve to ask better questions. MPAC is shaping the future. The only question is—are you? #Leadership #Innovation cc: NSB National Speakers Bureau, and thank you to MPAC for trusting me to deliver to your 900+ staff team. Hope to be back soon.
