Champions of the World! 🥇 Congratulations to Andre Lotterer, Kevin Estre, and Laurens Vanthoor on taking the Porsche 963 to the FIA World Endurance Championship title in Bahrain. After Porsche Penske Motorsport's complete title sweep in the IMSA - International Motor Sports Association Championship just three weeks ago, this is another huge moment for Porsche Motorsport. What a season it has been for the Porsche 963! We're thrilled to be a part of this remarkable program as a Technical Partner.

Multimatic Carbon Fibre Technologies (CFT) is honoured to be recognized as the Sustainable Supplier of the Year by Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team. The award is a testament to our commitment to embed sustainable practices into everything we do.   Operationally, our focus on minimizing rework and scrap, maximizing energy efficiency, and optimizing logistics resulted in the top score on the supplier sustainability survey.   In addition, the Environmental Focus Group at CFT has empowered the team to drive positive change in the supply chain by introducing new initiatives such as a battery recycling program and a secure bike shed to encourage sustainable commuting.   Just like in racing, every improvement—big or small—matters. We're excited to keep driving positive change across the automotive and motorsport supply chain!

As a token of appreciation for your support throughout the exciting debut season of the Ford Performance Mustang GT3, we created a papercraft version of the racecar in the Ford Multimatic Motorsports livery that you can build in the comfort of your own home!   We aimed to keep the build both fun and challenging while capturing the spirit of engineering and speed in every cut and fold, replicating the muscular body lines and the sleek aero devices on the car.   At the track, we pitted Harry Tincknell and Mike Rockenfeller, the drivers of the #64 Mustang GT3, against each other to see who can build a better paper version of their racecar.   Think you can do better? Visit our website to print the template and follow the build instructions: https://lnkd.in/gwxM5g4e

As you can imagine, the passion for anything automotive runs deep at Multimatic. Every summer, we host car shows as a way for our team members to connect and share their pride and joy with each other. All sorts of vehicles are celebrated at these gatherings - restored classics, rally legends, modern sportscars, 2-wheelers, and even high-mileage commuter heroes.   Even though many of these cars, trucks, and bikes will soon go into hibernation for the winter, we’re already counting down the days until they’re back on the road next year!

The Porsche 963 is a Championship winner! Congratulations to Porsche Motorsport on taking the IMSA Manufacturer’s title as the green flag waved for the start of the final race of the season at Petit Le Mans. With that title already secured, the #7 Porsche Penske Motorsport 963 then took the Driver’s and Team’s Championship titles, after finishing third in the epic, season-closing, 10-hour race at Road Atlanta. Our congratulations to every member of the team, in particular Dane Cameron and Felipe Nasr for taking the Driver’s title. And that’s not all, it was a clean sweep for the team in the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup, which means they secured every possible GTP title for 2024! These Championship wins have been a masterclass from the team, starting with an incredible endurance victory at Daytona in January. For the #7 Porsche 963, consistency was the key as the winning opener was swiftly followed by a run of consecutive podiums before another endurance win at Watkins Glen. The #6 had a slower start to the season but this all changed at Laguna Seca with a breakthrough victory setting up a series of further podium finishes and another win at Road America, leading a team 1-2.

Congratulations to Cal Poly Racing and Formula Student Bizkaia on winning this year’s Multimatic Vehicle Dynamics Excellence Award! At Formula Electric in Michigan, Cal Poly Racing claimed the award for the second year in a row by leveraging their strong core competencies from their ICE program. They successfully integrated all subsystems into a cohesive package, becoming the first team to win the award at both an ICE and EV competition in FSAE. At Silverstone Circuit, FS Bizkaia impressed the design judges with their innovation and meticulous approach to design and validation, becoming the first-ever recipient of our award at IMechE Formula Student UK. In addition to the vehicle dynamics trophy, the team also took home top honors for the EV class and best EV powertrain. As an engineering-driven company with many FSAE and FSUK alumni on our team, it is truly gratifying to witness the incredible caliber of vehicle dynamic principles being applied at these competitions. We look forward to supporting and guiding the next generation of engineers in 2025!

The Vehicle Dynamics Excellence Award was introduced in 2018 by a group of Multimatic engineers who believe that mastery of vehicle dynamics is fundamental to designing and building winning race cars as well as high-performance production vehicles. The award recognizes FSAE and Formula Student teams that demonstrate an in-depth understanding and application of vehicle dynamics to: 1. Establish vehicle performance targets and associated system specifications. 2. Develop component designs to achieve targets. 3. Use data acquisition, dynamic simulation, and objective analysis to optimize vehicle dynamics performance. During the design finals phase of each competition, senior judges evaluate each team based on upfront simulation, component level design, as well as vehicle tuning and development. In addition to the trophy, the winner at each competition will also receive a complimentary set of bespoke Multimatic spool valve dampers. The teams will have the opportunity to spec, build, and test the dampers at one of our technical centers, as well as dial in their vehicle on our four-post rig with guidance from Multimatic engineers.
