Poll: Your Architectural Design Preferences I’m excited to hear your thoughts on architectural styles! Each option reflects unique philosophies and aesthetics that shape our built environment. Here’s a quick overview to help guide your choice: 1. Modern: Characterized by clean lines, open spaces, and a focus on functionality, modern architecture emphasizes simplicity and the use of new materials. 2. Classical: Drawing from ancient Greek and Roman influences, classical architecture is known for its grandeur, symmetry, and intricate detailing, often showcasing columns and ornate decorations. 3. Brutalist: This bold style is defined by raw concrete and rugged forms. Brutalism often prioritizes functionality and a sense of solidity, making a strong statement in urban environments. 4. Minimalist: Less is more! Minimalism focuses on simplicity and the elimination of excess, creating serene spaces that emphasize light and form. We'd love to hear which style resonates with you! Vote and feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

Project Feature: Bokeh, Kildonan Park Duck Pond We’re excited to look back at our collaboration with the Winnipeg Arts Council and artist Takashi Iwasaki to create a stunning lighting experience around the duck pond in Kildonan Park! Selected through a competitive process, our team designed three sculptural light fixtures inspired by the bokeh effect. These installations brighten the winter landscape, offering a vibrant contrast to the snowy canvas for park-goers and ice skaters. Partnering with local fabricator Prairie Pole Inc., we crafted 7.3-meter tall sculptures with custom-welded steel and colorful acrylic globes, featuring 15 RGB LED lights. Nadi Group led the project as artist, designer, and project manager. #ArtInstallation #WinnipegArts #NadiGroup #TakashiIwasaki #CommunityArt #KildonanPark #LightingDesign #WinterWonderland

Client Success Stories: Discovery Homes Ltd. "We at Discovery Homes appreciate the way Nadi Group conducts their business. They exemplify how to manage architectural guidelines for development in a way that beautifully maintains the overarching architectural vision, while also being customer-friendly. As coordinator of Selections and Approvals at Discovery, it is very important to have someone that I can connect with directly and on time when questions or issues arise with a build. This reason is why I am so grateful to have Malvin Soh as my contact at Nadi Group. I know he is just a phone call away and will work with me to achieve a design that my clients will love and that will blend beautifully with the already beautiful design of the Bridgwater development. Thank you to Malvin and Nadi Group for all that you do to help us, as builders, create the dream homes our customers desire!" - Murray Soko (Discovery Homes Ltd.)

Designing Healthier, More Connected Communities: The Power of Urban Design 🌿 Urban design isn't just about creating aesthetically pleasing spaces; it's a crucial factor in building healthier and more connected communities. As we continue to face challenges related to public health, social isolation, and environmental sustainability, thoughtful urban design offers solutions that can transform our cities and neighborhoods for the better. Here’s how: 1. Promoting Active Lifestyles: Well-designed urban spaces encourage physical activity by integrating pedestrian-friendly pathways, bike lanes, and accessible parks. These features not only promote exercise but also enhance overall well-being and reduce healthcare costs. 2. Fostering Social Connections: Community hubs, shared spaces, and vibrant public areas help bring people together. By designing environments that facilitate social interaction, we strengthen community bonds and reduce social isolation. 3. Enhancing Accessibility: Inclusive design ensures that everyone, regardless of mobility, can access public spaces and services. This consideration promotes equality and allows all members of the community to participate fully in urban life. 4. Supporting Mental Health: Green spaces and natural elements in urban design have been shown to reduce stress and improve mental health. Integrating parks, gardens, and natural elements into our cities provides a necessary respite from the hustle and bustle. 5. Encouraging Sustainable Living: Thoughtful urban design incorporates sustainable practices such as efficient waste management, renewable energy sources, and green building standards. These measures contribute to environmental sustainability and ensure that our communities thrive for generations to come. As urban designers, planners, and community leaders, we have the power to shape our environments in ways that promote health, connection, and sustainability. Let’s continue to prioritize these aspects in our projects and advocate for policies that support inclusive and vibrant urban living. How have you seen urban design positively impact your community? Share your thoughts and experiences below! ⬇️ #UrbanDesign #CommunityHealth #SustainableLiving #InclusiveDesign #PublicSpaces #UrbanPlanning
