With Alberta Life Science week approaching, it's a great reminder of all the cool stuff happening just down the road from us. The team at NanoTess are such an incredible role model - their product is available in pharmacies now and they've also cracked getting buy-in from doctors and the clinical system. #healthinnovation
Closing the health equity gap will only be possible through joined up and sustained effort across the variety of stakeholders involved. Working together with other innovators serving our community is a source of sustainable commercial advantage to amplify our voice and reach our target end-users. It's also pretty sweet to have a network of friends all around the world working towards a common goal. I'm reminded that amazing things are happening locally too. Thank you Ray Briscuso and the rest of the AdvaMed team for getting a few of us together last night in Calgary! One of our local heroes is Megan Leslie and the team at NanoTess. They have created NanoSALV, a treatment to speed up wound healing. It's not only for complex wounds like diabetic food ulcers and bed sores... it can be used for things like acne. Pretty amazing stuff. #healthequity #healthinnovation #founderssupportingfounders Shout out to other friends innovating in health from Alberta Abdullah Sarhan Breanne Everett MD MBA Catalina Vasquez Colin Coros David Katz Jana Rieger, PhD Javad Sadeghi Jeremie Bourqui, P. Thank you CDL-Rockies for your continued support in our mission!
Julian Mulia, MEng. and Megan Leslie, co-founders of #CDLAlumni NanoTess, have developed an accessible solution for those dealing with wound care. The duo's award-winning NanoSALV Catalytic Advanced Wound Care Treatment significantly improves healing outcomes, which can help increase quality of life, especially for those in communities with limited access to hospitals who require at-home treatment. “We design products for the 99 per cent, not just the one per cent,” says Leslie. “This means providing affordable and accessible products, and getting them into the hands of people who need them.” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gpVvrA27

Helping emerging & high growth ventures connect, collide & thrive with KPMG High Growth Ventures at Platform Innovation Centre 🚀
🏌️♂️ A big thank you to my good friend Scott Stevens from Steer Insurance Brokers & Consultants for the invitation to play golf with our #yyctech #startup community not once, but twice last week. 🙏⛳ Besides trying to hit the ball into the hole in as fewest strokes possible, my favourite thing to do on the course is take this photo, which looks like we’re flying on our golf clubs. ✈ I’m not a great golfer, but I'm continuing to practice and improve. 💪 This was my first time playing Pinebrook Golf & Country Club and we lucked out on both days with spectacular weather and conditions. ☀ On Wednesday evening we played 9 holes with Megan Leslie and Julian Mulia, MEng. of NanoTess, a health and life science nanotechnology company. One of their incredibly #innovative technologies is NanoSALV, which is used to increase the speed of healing wounds. 🩹 I'm currently using NanoSALV right now on a wound I sustained last weekend and it's accelerating the healing. ⛑ On Friday we played 18 holes with Ammar Memon of Quickly a local #fintech startup that offers earned revenue access technology, providing SMBs with next day access to their verified receivables, and Crystal Phillips, VC and VP at Thin Air Labs and Co-founder and Chair of Branch Out Neurological Foundation. ⚡ Coincidentally, Thin Air Labs Fund 1 is an investor in both NanoTess and Quickly. 💰 This was a great opportunity to connect with founders and funders in #tech and enjoy this amazing #Alberta summer. 🌾 Also, I'm getting in some great practice before #TechSwing next month. 🤞 Thanks again Scott and my golfing buddies for good times and so many mulligans! 😁 #yyctech #yycbusiness #yycbiz #yycstartups #yycinnovation #calgarytech #calgarybusiness #calgaryinnovation #albertatech #abtech #albertatech #albertabusiness #albertastartups #albertainnovation #technology #innovation #business #startup #startups #scaleups #founders #femalefounders #prairiestartups #BlueSkyCity #PrairiePower #KPMGCalgary #KPMGHGVCanada #KPMGHighGrowthVentures
