On March 31st, we observe International Trans Day of Visibility (TDOV), a day dedicated to celebrating the resilience, achievements, and contributions of transgender and non-binary individuals worldwide. It's an opportunity to raise awareness about the challenges faced by trans communities and to advocate for a more inclusive and equitable society. We are proud to collaborate with NACY Member organization, Society of Queer Momentum that focuses on creating spaces and opportunities for LGBTQ+ youth, including trans and non-binary individuals, to connect, learn, and grow. Through various programs and events, they empower youth to embrace their identities confidently. By working together, we can create a society that celebrates diversity and ensures that trans and non-binary youth feel seen, heard, and valued. . . . #TransDayOfVisibility #TDOV #TransRights #TransYouth #InclusionMatters

📢 Tag policymakers & demand action—our young workforce is the future of Canada's economy. Let’s set them up for success. Too many young people are stuck in low-paying, dead-end jobs that don’t align with their career aspirations. The lack of entry-level roles with growth opportunities keeps youth in cycles of uncertainty. 🗣 "There is a lack of entry-level jobs that provide young people with real growth opportunities. Too many are stuck in customer service roles that don’t align with their future goals." We need: 💼 Fair wages & sustainable career pathways 🎓 Paid internships & mentorship programs 🏛 Government investment in youth employment programs . . . #FutureOfWork #InvestInYouth #YouthEmployment #YoungPeopleAreNotOkay

Too many young Canadians face financial roadblocks to education. Instead of opening doors, tuition costs and student debt trap youth in cycles of financial insecurity. 🗣 Our NACY Emerging Leaders Roundtable leaders say: "Without targeted support such as accessible financial aid and fair wages, education—which should be a pathway to opportunity—becomes an additional source of hardship that exacerbates inequality." 📚 What we need: ✅ Affordable and accessible post-secondary education ✅ Better financial literacy education from an early age ✅ Policies that reduce student debt burden Let’s work together to ensure education leads to opportunities, not obstacles. Share your story & tag policymakers to push for change! . . . #InvestInYouth #EducationForAll #SystemicChange #YoungPeopleAreNotOkay

Join us in advocating for youth-centered policies and real solutions to ensure mental health services are within reach. 1 in 5 young Canadians faces a mental health challenge, but therapy remains unaffordable. One session costs $160—that’s 9 hours of work at minimum wage. 🗣 "Mental health care shouldn't be a luxury. We need solutions that make care accessible to all, not just those who can afford it." Beyond therapy, investing in community spaces, mentorship programs, and flexible education policies can make a huge impact on youth mental well-being. . . . #MentalHealthMatters #YouthAction #PolicyChange #YoungPeopleAreNotOkay

📢 Attention Canadians! As we approach the upcoming Federal election, it's crucial to address the urgent crisis facing our children and youth. The latest report reveals alarming trends: 🔴 Mental Health Crisis: 1 in 5 children and youth struggle with mental health challenges, with suicide being the second leading cause of death among young people. 🔴 Health and Wellness: Food insecurity, inadequate physical activity, and unequal access to healthcare are impacting the growth and development of our youth. 🔴 Systemic Barriers: Marginalized communities face disproportionate challenges, including lower employment rates, poorer health outcomes, and educational inequities. 🔴 Economic Disparities: High unemployment rates and housing instability are perpetuating cycles of poverty. 🔴 Polarization and Misinformation: Eroding trust and increasing social divisions are harming young people's ability to think critically and maintain healthy self-esteem. Recommendations for Action: ✅ Empower youth by involving them in decision-making processes. ✅ Increase funding for child and youth programs. ✅ Implement comprehensive poverty reduction strategies. ✅ Enhance access to mental health services. ✅ Address systemic barriers and inequities. ✅ Promote health and well-being through equitable healthcare access. ✅ Foster collaboration and partnerships to support children and youth.
