A huge thank you to the Police Association of Ontario for inviting NENA ONTARIO to present at the recent civilian conference on NENA Standards and Canada’s unique approach to implementing Next Generation 9-1-1. This transition requires cooperation and collaboration from many different stakeholders to make the move to NG9-1-1 a national reality. We sincerely appreciate the POA’s dedication and investment in learning to better represent their members during this critical transition.

🍁 Gratitude in Action: Thanksgiving and First Responders 🍁 As we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, it’s important to reflect on the people who make our communities safe and keep everything running smoothly. NENA ON extends our heartfelt appreciation to all the first responders—dispatchers, EMTs, firefighters and police officers—who will be on duty this weekend, often away from their loved ones. Your dedication and service do not go unnoticed. Thank you for the sacrifices you make to protect and care for us, especially during times when many of us are celebrating at home. This Thanksgiving, let's take a moment to recognize these everyday heroes who embody the spirit of giving. Your work ensures that our communities remain resilient, safe, and connected. We are grateful for your unwavering commitment. Wishing everyone a joyful and safe Thanksgiving! 🦃 #Gratitude #Thanksgiving #FirstResponders #NENAON

On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we pause to reflect on the painful history and lasting impacts of residential schools on Indigenous communities across Canada. This day is a reminder of the importance of listening, learning, and standing in solidarity with those affected. As we honor the survivors and their families, let’s commit to fostering understanding, respect, and meaningful change. #EveryChildMatters #TruthAndReconciliation
