Excellent research from Benchmark Mineral Intelligence reveals that between $7.5 and $12.25 billion of investment in graphite production is required to meet additional battery demand by 2025.   The low end of Benchmark’s forecast would deliver 4 mtpa of production, while in the event of higher demand, the supply gap could expand to over 6.5 mtpa, necessitating $12.25 billion of investment. The flake graphite industry is poised for substantial growth, and strategic and integrated projects, such as NextSource’s, will be key to delivering the critical material that the world needs.
