☀️ Un séminaire intensif enrichissant pour notre équipe commerciale 📈 ❓ Comment arrivons-nous à stimuler la collaboration et à renforcir les liens au sein de notre équipe dont les membres sont situés un peu partout au Canada et aux États-Unis? En tenant chaque année notre réunion de l’équipe commerciale! Du 3 au 5 juin derniers, 49 de nos collaborateurs ont participé à des activités de renforcement d’équipe (teambuilding) et à des journées de formation et de partage intensives où ils ont pu discuter et réfléchir ensemble sur des façons de stimuler et accueillir la croissance tout en prenant connaissance des grands projets sur lesquels travaillent leurs collègues des autres départements. Ils ont pu assister à des ateliers d’apprentissage et des présentations, visiter virtuellement notre usine de Lethbridge en Alberta, assister à une conférence du présentateur et coach Julien Leblanc pour échanger sur des façons de « Cultiver la croissance » et même suivre une formation sur la façon dont notre équipe d’assurance qualité évalue nos produits. Pour rendre le tout encore plus festif, plusieurs activités d’équipe étaient organisées pour passer du bon temps tous ensemble et apprendre à mieux se connaître : un barbecue suivi d’une discussion au coin du feu animée par les leaders de l’équipe commerciale Kelley Martin, Marty Taylor et Ted Lawson, un souper où tous nos collaborateurs préparaient une recette en petits groupes et devaient couronner l’équipe gagnante, des séances de jeux de société, de jeux de concentration et d’adresse à la Amazing Race, Survivor et Family Feud, et plus encore. Pour bien clôturer ce séminaire, nous avons pu assister à la cérémonie des Prix de l’Impact commercial afin de rendre hommage à quelques-uns des membres de notre équipe qui se sont démarqués durant la dernière année. 🏆 Bravo à tous nos nominés ayant remporté les honneurs : Melissa Menard – pour avoir atteint l’excellence / Pascal Coutant – pour la satisfaction client / Kaylin Smith – pour le développement d’affaires / Roy Lambrecht – pour avoir cultivé la croissance / Jean-Pierre Haché – pour avoir été une référence en matière de sécurité chez Nortera durant toute sa carrière. ☀️ An enriching intensive seminar for our commercial team 📈 ❓ How do we manage to foster collaboration and strengthen ties within our team, whose members are located across Canada and the United States? By holding our annual commercial meeting! From June 3 to 5, 49 of our employees participated in team-building activities and intensive training and knowledge-sharing days where they were able to discuss and reflect together on ways to stimulate and welcome growth while learning about the major projects that their colleagues in other departments are working on. They were able to attend workshops and presentations, participate in a virtual visit of our Lethbridge, Alberta processing facility, attend a conference by speaker and coach Julien Leblanc to discuss ways to “ Leading Growth”, and even do a training session on how our quality assurance team evaluates our products. To make everything even more festive, several team activities were organized to have a good time together and get to know each other better: a barbecue followed by a fireside chat led by the leaders of the commercial team Kelley Martin, Marty Taylor and Ted Lawson, a dinner where all our employees prepared a recipe in small groups and had to crown the winning team, sessions of board games, concentration and skill games like Amazing Race, Survivor and Family Feud, and more. To round off this seminar, participants were able to attend the Commercial Impact Awards ceremony to pay tribute to some of the members of our team who stood out during the last year. 🏆 Congratulations to all our nominees who won the honors: Melissa Menard – for achieving excellence / Pascal Coutant – for customer satisfaction / Kaylin Smith – for business development / Roy Lambrecht – for leading growth / Jean-Pierre Haché – for being a safety sentinel at Nortera throughout his career. 🍽️ A helping hand at Complexe le Partage with a collective cooking activity and donations! 🚀 Several employees from our head office pitched in as a team during the month of May to provide support to the Le Partage organization located in La Prairie on the south shore of Montreal. ❓ Did you know? The Complexe Le Partage team has been helping families in the Kateri region (Saint-Constant, Sainte-Catherine, and La Prairie) for more than 25 years by offering a variety of services ensuring food security and promoting autonomy. They offer collective cooking sessions for teenagers, families, and seniors, culinary workshops, a participatory collective garden, and a food aid service “ Les petites bedaines pleines ” orchestrated by their cook and volunteers who ensure the preparation and the anonymous delivery of lunch boxes every day for young people in need. With their 2 “La Voûte” thrift stores where you can find new and second-hand items at low prices and the management of the Saint-Constant ecocenter, they are 74% self-financing to be able to give back to the community. Our employees had a lot of fun cooking comforting meals and preparing lunch boxes for children in need in collaboration with two regular volunteers from the organization and their cook, all while combining business with pleasure. 🍱 🏫 During these mornings of volunteering, a total of 200 lunch boxes and hot meals were prepared for “ Les petites bedaines pleines ” and the food aid offered every Thursday to residents of the region. In addition to volunteering, the equivalent of 2 large recycling bins of clothing and trinkets were collected and donated to the organization for their social economy component. 💚Finally, we were REALLY impressed by the range of services offered by the organization and we invite all businesses like us to help them, whether through donations or by generously offering their time! More and more people are using their services and you too can make a difference by getting involved. 💚 🤝 We would like to thank our Community committee, the entire Complexe Le Partage team who welcomed us with open arms, and our employees who donated items or participated in the cooking sessions. 🍽️ Un coup de main au Complexe le Partage par une activité de cuisine collective et des dons! 🚀 Plusieurs employés de notre siège social ont mis la main à la pâte en équipe durant le mois de mai, afin d’offrir un soutien à l’organisme Le Partage situé à La Prairie sur la rive-sud de Montréal. ❓ Le saviez-vous? L’équipe du Complexe Le Partage vient en aide depuis plus de 25 ans aux familles du territoire de Kateri (Saint-Constant, Sainte-Catherine et La Prairie) à travers une variété de services assurant la sécurité alimentaire et favorisant l’autonomie. Ils offrent des séances de cuisine collectives pour les adolescents, les familles et les aînés, des ateliers culinaires, un jardin collectif participatif et un service d’aide alimentaire « Les petites bedaines pleines » orchestré par leur cuisinière et bénévoles qui y assurent la préparation et la livraison anonyme chaque jour de boîtes à lunch pour des jeunes dans le besoin. Avec leurs 2 friperies « La Voûte » où on peut y trouver des articles neufs et de seconde main à petits prix et la gestion de L’Écocentre de Saint-Constant, ils s’autofinancent à 74 % pour être capables de redonner à la communauté. Nos employés ont eu beaucoup de plaisir à cuisiner des plats réconfortants et à préparer des boîtes à lunch pour les jeunes dans le besoin en collaboration avec deux bénévoles réguliers de l’organisme et leur cuisinière, le tout en joignant l’utile à l’agréable. 🍱 🏫 Durant ces matinées de bénévolat, c’est un total de 200 boîtes à lunch et des repas chauds qui ont été préparés pour « Les petites bedaines pleines » et l’aide alimentaire offerte tous les jeudis aux résidents de la région. En plus du bénévolat, l’équivalent de 2 grands bacs de recyclage de vêtements et bibelots ont été récupérés et offerts à l'organisme pour leur volet d’économie sociale. 💚 Pour terminer, nous avons été VRAIMENT impressionnés par la panoplie de services offerts par l’organisme et nous invitons toutes les entreprises comme nous à leur venir en aide que cela soit par des dons ou en offrant généreusement de leur temps! De plus en plus d’individus ont recours à leurs services et vous pouvez vous aussi faire une différence en vous impliquant. 💚 🤝 Finalement, on voudrait remercier notre comité CommuNauté, toute l’équipe du Complexe Le Partage qui nous a accueilli à bras ouverts et nos employés qui ont fait dons d’articles ou qui ont participé aux sessions de cuisine. 📦 A visit to Moisson Granby to celebrate an effective partnership with the Quebec Processed Vegetable Grower association (PLTQ) and the Food Banks of Quebec (BAQ)! 🔄 It is with great pleasure that members of our Quebec agronomy and communications teams, accompanied by our loyal partners, the PLTQ and the Banques alimentaires du Québec, were recently offered a guided tour of Moisson Granby, a major player BAQ's network, which offers several services to the local population while fighting against food insecurity. Each year, as part of the Récolte-Don! program, and in partner with the PLTQ, we offer a large quantity of processed vegetables to food banks in Quebec, which are then redistributed to their Moisson members such as Moisson Granby, to help families in precarious situations. ❓ Did you know? At Moisson Granby, nearly 90 volunteers each week give generously of their time to support the organization's mission, for a GRAND annual total of 17,000 volunteer hours! To give you a better idea, here is an overview of the range of services they offer, all while ensuring to avoid food waste, thanks to their anti-waste component: ✅ An emergency food aid service, for quick needs; ✅ A food bank service supervised by social workers who help applicants get back on their feet and increase their autonomy; ✅ A flexible delivery service, as well as a grocery store pick-up service; ✅ A meal preparation service using food that is still good but about to expire; ✅ A thrift-store-style general store, which allows them to be 74% self-financing; ✅ A restaurant, the Café des trois pommiers, whose revenues are reinvested 100% in the organization; ✅ And finally, 14 community gardens available to families in the region. 🙏 WOW, thank you again to Moisson Granby for the huge difference they make in the lives of many people and for allowing our partners and members of our team to be aware of all their services thanks to this guided tour! #Nortera #engagement #donation #nonprofit #charity #wellbeing #connections #community #solidarity #agro

📦 Une visite chez Moisson Granby pour souligner un partenariat efficace avec les Producteurs de légumes de transformation du Québec (PLTQ) et les Banques alimentaires du Québec (BAQ)! 🔄 C’est avec grand plaisir que des membres de nos équipes d'agronomie du Québec et de communication, accompagnés de nos fidèles partenaires, les PLTQ et les Banques alimentaires du Québec se sont vu offrir récemment, une visite guidée des installations de Moisson Granby, un acteur très important dans le réseau des Moisson, qui offre plusieurs services à la population locale en luttant contre l’insécurité alimentaire. Chaque année, à travers le programme Récolte-Don!, et en partenariat avec les PLTQ, nous offrons une grande quantité de légumes transformés aux banques alimentaires du Québec, qui les redistribuent ensuite à leurs membres Moisson comme Moisson Granby, pour venir en aide aux familles en situation de précarité. ❓ Le saviez-vous? During these two busy days, they will stay on a farm and travel the roads of Quebec, from Sainte-Martine in Montérégie to St-Anne-de-Prescott in Ontario to learn more about the behind-the-scenes of corn crops, from planting to transformation in one of our processing facilities. 🚌 Along the way, they will visit the Mongenais farm of our partner farmers Jean-François Gareau and Geneviève Brunet where more than 300 tons of corn on the cob are grown each year for processing. Eugénie Dejonckheere from our Quebec agronomy team will share her know-how related to crop monitoring and analysis to determine the ideal time to harvest. Pablo Saval Carrera, our Plant Director in Sainte-Martine will take participants on a tour of our facilities to explain the different stages of corn processing, from the arrival of the cobs to our plants, including their inspection, blanching, cutting, freezing, packaging, and shipping. Then, Mylène D.B., nutritionist, will also makes an appearance during the episode to present the La Fondation Olo and the importance of our partnership with the organization. 🏌️ A new edition of the CTAQ Golf Classic and Cycling Tour 🚴 On May 23, 150 golfers and 30 cyclists gathered under the sun at the Royal Bromont for the 2024 edition of the Golf Classic and the CTAQ Cycling Tour in which we participated as a sponsoring partner. This annual event is the perfect time to meet our compatriots in the food processing industry and to exchange ideas in a friendly atmosphere conducive to laughter. 📷 As a picture is worth a thousand words, you can relive the atmosphere of camaraderie that was there through the photos of the golf tournament, the Cycling Tour, and the cocktail dinner.
