The time has finally come 📣 We are thrilled to announce North York General’s transformational new ad campaign: ‘Here for Life.’ Whether it be the birth of a baby, the rush for emergency care or the emotional impact of hearing a diagnosis ‑ we at #NYGH understand that many of life’s biggest moments occur in the blink of an eye. And many will occur within our hospital. “Here for Life.” is anchored in our belief that while life can change very quickly, the caring and compassionate people behind NYGH are here with you for all of it. This is NYGH like you’ve never seen before. In the coming weeks and beyond, you'll notice many of our real physicians, staff and patients featured in the campaign. Rocky’s Run, Part 2: The Library Detour 📚 Rocky’s race to the Rally in the Ravine continues... kind of. This week, he’s made it to the North York Central Library — ( Toronto Public Library ) but things aren’t exactly moving fast. 🐢 Why? Turns out, Rocky has a soft spot for reading, especially when it comes to raccoon-themed literature. 🤓 Who knew there were so many books about him? He might be there for a while... Will Rocky ever make it to the Rally start line at G. Ross Lord Park? Thank you to all our donors who called in, gave online, and listened in to our annual Radiothon yesterday - it was an incredible success! Together we raised over $100,000 in support of seniors’ care at North York General Hospital. The funds will be put towards a new Omnicell machine (an automated medication dispensing unit) to enhance care for our seniors.  We’d like to thank our amazing hosts at A1 Chinese Radio FM91.9 | FM100.7 (Sing Tao A1 Chinese Radio) who interviewed our experts about the excellent care we provide to seniors and the exciting developments in store for the future of seniors’ care. Our wonderful call centre volunteers were busy taking donations from listeners all day. We are also grateful to our generous PowerMatch sponsors Congee Queen, Sing Tao Foundation and Steinway Piano Gallery for supporting Radiothon. Meet Action in Reading (A.I.R.), a passionate group of Chinese-Canadian women who have turned their love of books into a force for good. With 108 members, A.I.R. has raised over $78,000 for local charities—and this year, they’ve made their largest donation yet: $25,000 to support seniors’ health initiatives at North York General Hospital.
