Today, we honour the children who never returned home and the survivors of residential schools, along with their families and communities. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a solemn reminder of the lasting impacts of these schools on Indigenous Peoples across Canada. As we wear our orange shirts, we reflect on the painful history, acknowledge the need for truth, and commit to meaningful reconciliation. Let’s take this time to educate ourselves and support efforts for healing and justice. Learn more: bit.ly/3TO3hEi #NDTR #OrangeShirtDay #TruthAndReconciliation #EveryChildMatters
