As the days grow shorter and the temperatures drop, winter offers us a unique chance for spiritual reflection and growth. ❄️ Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, "Winter is the spring of the believer," a season to nurture our faith. 🌱 For many, though, this winter will be especially tough. In 2016, a survey found that nearly one-third of Muslim newcomers to Canada said the cold was their least favourite part of living here (CBC News). This year, hundreds of evacuees from Gaza and Sudan will face their first Canadian winter. They’ve endured months of trauma, losing their lands and loved ones, arriving with little more than the clothes on their backs. With the rising costs of winter essentials, they are struggling to make ends meet.
