Olsonfab was proud to sponsor a hole for the BGC Cornwall/SDG Cornwall Golf Tournament last Friday with lots of laughs as we put our golfers to the test by showing off their hula hoop and shot ski skills! We also wanted to put our team members to the hula hoop & shot ski test so we had the pleasure of sending some team members out on the course ⛳️ All in all a fabulous day to support a great organization and play some golf🔆

We love welcoming family teams to our sites, such as Blaine Mitchell and Heather Mitchell from L&M Erectors. Blaine (a structural iron worker/welder) and Heather (a first year apprentice) are currently working with the Olsonfab Metal Fabrication team at our Village Green Long-Term Care Home site in Napanee to erect the steel for the second storey of the building.

As a "male-dominated" environment, we're so thrilled to see the progress that is being made in the construction industry from women welders to project managers - we see you, we acknowledge you, and we appreciate all that you bring to the team! So much women empowerment this week! I had the honour of being a panelist for today’s High Tea Luncheon to Celebrate Women in Business and the Power of Ambition hosted by Cornwall SDG Business Enterprise Centre & Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with BDC. The energy in the room was undeniable and hearing from Isabelle Hudon & my fellow panelists was so inspiring. I also spent my Tuesday at the International Women’s event hosted by KPMG and learned so much. I am filled with so much inspiration, love, and courage to continue to make strides for women in business and leadership. Gone are the days where women have to ask for a seat at the table - we are the table! Not only are we very much capable of being leaders, managers, and founders but we are doing it and doing a great job at it. So a big shout out to all the amazing women out there changing the narrative, breaking barriers, and doing the damn thing! A special thank you to Catherine Leteinturier Guissé for thinking of me & inviting me to be a panelist and to Stacey McMillan for inviting me to KPMG’s event.

Over the last couple of years, Olsonfab has been a proud supporter of Big Ben Ski Center. They're more than just a ski hill but a place to gather as family & friends to enjoy our Canadian winters and make memories to last a lifetime. This year, we have fabricated a new rail to add to the run! It has brought us great joy to see how much fun everyone is having in the snow park and hope to see the community's continued involvement & support!
