On June 26, 2024, as part of our recognition of Indigenous Peoples Day, Osler was pleased to invite authors Douglas Sanderson (Amo Binashii) and Andrew Stobo Sniderman for a discussion about their acclaimed book, Valley of the Birdtail: An Indian Reserve, a White Town, and the Road to Reconciliation. Following the lived experience of multiple generations of two families, one white and one Indigenous, participants discussed how the two communities became separate and unequal, and what it means in moving toward reconciliation. We are grateful to the authors for generously sharing their insights, stories and lessons with us. An Indian Reserve, a White Town, and the Road to Reconciliation.
