Canadians continue to face significant challenges in accessing palliative care, especially in underserved rural and remote communities. Today, on World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, we are reminded of the critical need for equitable solutions to address these gaps. The Canadian Palliative Care Atlas will help to bridge these gaps, by offering an unparalleled overview of palliative care services across the country. By providing policymakers and health care leaders with the data they need for informed decision-making, we can ensure that every Canadian who need palliative care has better access to high-quality services.
