We are adjusting our bylaws and documents on tree clearing on County lands and water body access for semi-waterfront properties. Upcoming engagement will share the proposed draft policy amendments to the Use of County Lands Bylaw, Jackfish Lake Area Structure Plan, and West Point Estates (North) Outline Plan. Residents are invited to participate in any (or all) of the following: • Chat with a Planner - Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. • Public Open House - Wednesday, November 27, 2024 drop in from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Carvel Hall (52511 SH 770, Lot 3A). • Online Survey - opens November 18, 2024, along with an interactive Q&A tool. The Municipal Development Plan Project is now in the public hearing and approvals stage! This process involves three readings at Council and one public hearing. The Public Hearing is set for Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. Residents are encouraged to share their feedback by registering to speak at the public hearing or submitting written content. Applications are now open for our Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) program grants. These grants provide funding to non-profit organizations that enhance the social well-being of individuals and families. If you have child and youth programs, family life enrichment courses, senior’s programs, information and referral programs, or other social support programs that enhance the social well-being of individuals and families in our community, this grant may be available to you. At age 17, Parkland County resident Josie Camilleri is a new and emerging local author, alongside eight other passionate high school students on the North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance’s Youth Water Council.
