Pathway has become the first Generative AI tool for medicine to receive CME accreditation. Clinicians can now earn AMA PRA Category 1™ CME credits when using the platform. Each AI-generated response includes references, allowing users to verify sources and assess the quality of evidence. This development integrates AI technology with continuing medical education, providing a new avenue for healthcare professionals to maintain their knowledge while using AI tools in their practice.

We created Pathway AI to solve a problem. We were tired of watching clinician friends try (and fail) to sort through the mountain of medical knowledge on the internet. They needed fast, easy access to reliable, evidence-based info. And we did just that: V1 of Pathway AI already exceeded expectations. The careful vetting and review of studies and guidelines that used to take thousands of expert hours — Pathway could do in seconds. And the answers it was giving were spot on: nuanced, and from reputable sources. Clinicians loved how fast and accurate it was. They said it was the tool they’d been looking for. They described it as feeling like "magic." Out of tens of thousands of responses from beta users, less than 0.18% were rated “unhelpful.” That’s a strong stat. But for the Pathway team, it wasn’t good enough. So we’re unveiling version 2.0. For this version, we’ve doubled down on speed and accuracy, spending a ton of time behind the curtain to make sure this version could get clinicians to better answers, faster — all from credible sources that can be easily tracked. Here’s what’s new: - Faster responses: Now get responses in under 3 seconds. - Better reasoning: Our improved AI captures the nuances of your questions better, providing more relevant answers. - Better referencing: Expect even more precise and relevant references in every answer. - Easily assess sources: Quickly assess reference quality with evidence grades and immediate access to the original source. - MCQ support: You can now ask Pathway AI multiple-choice questions, perfect for training and studying. - Enhanced visuals & tools: AI answers now include calculators, drug dosage cards, and visual study summaries, so you don't need to switch tools and can interpret AI answers faster. Over 500,000 clinicians have turned to Pathway for its speed and accuracy. We hope V2 will provide even more value if you're one of them.
