We develop accessible, and emotionally resonant Sim-Lite games. Our first game is about gastronomy, winter and family.
About us
Just like the delicate art of porcelain craftsmanship, creating a video game is a refined and subtle craft, requiring patience, meticulousness, and a keen understanding of the design process. For both, the final product is fragile, as the slightest flaw can lead to its complete loss. This metaphor perfectly represents our approach to game design and development at Porcelaine. It also aligns naturally with the studio's mission, which is to create accessible, intelligent, and emotionally resonant simulation experiences that delve into unexplored or underrepresented social and historical contexts. To fulfill this mission and driven by our passion for this genre, we have chosen to specialize in what we call "Sim-Lite" games. A Sim-Lite game can feature any control and camera systems, as long as it is built around a simulation/management framework. This allows us to explore different types of games while staying within our preferred genre. We are presently developing our first game, Project Festin. In this Simulation/Management game centered around survival and gastronomy, you play as a father in a village of Lower Canada in the late 1830s. Your objective is to keep your family intact, happy, and well-fed from the end of autumn to the first day of summer.
