We're embarking on a new Executive Director search for a successful association that serves business professionals throughout Ontario. As Executive Director, you will advance the organization’s acclaimed programs, drawing upon your skills in people management, planning and finance. Service pillars include education/certification and advocacy. Events include a major annual conference and trade show plus networking opportunities and workshops throughout the year. The Executive Director leads and motivates a team of six staff, supports committed volunteers serving on the board of directors and committees, and actively engages with allied organizations in the sector, with government, and corporate partners. Preferred experience includes demonstrable success managing programs and people, bringing creative ideas to grow member value, effectively communicating the benefits of membership, and an entrepreneurial outlook that translates to revenue growth and diversification. Candidates will ideally have worked with a profession where standards, certification, and ongoing education are core services. Understanding of membership organizations is highly preferred, supported with a relevant university degree and/or management certification, and experience at a comparable level of seniority. The employer is based in Mississauga and the successful candidate should expect to be working from the association office most of the time.
