Pride Toronto is thrilled to announce the dates and theme for its highly anticipated 2024 Festival. The weekend festivities will take place from June 28th to June 30th, with a powerful theme that encapsulates the essence of unity, resilience, and celebration, “Be______.” The theme unfolds as a narrative: “Our right to Be. United, we fight to exist without adversity. Our place to Be. Holding space for one another, we create safety in the communities we build. Our time to Be. We celebrate the triumphs of generations before us. We continue their legacy for a future that allows us to Be ourselves. Be is to proclaim our existence. To say, ‘we are here and always will Be.’ Our call to simply Be.” Our theme this year is not just a word; it’s a profound declaration echoing through the ages. It is a call to action, symbolizing our collective stand for existence without adversity, the creation of safer spaces, and the celebration of triumphs that pave the way for future generations to be their true selves. “Be” is our proclamation – a resounding statement that says, “we are here and always will be.” It’s a call to simply be! “As we unveil the theme ‘Be______’ for Pride Toronto 2024, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating the right to be, united in our fight for existence and acceptance. Pride Month is more than a celebration; it’s a declaration of our collective identity and resilience.” - Kojo Modeste, Executive Director - Pride Toronto. Pride Month will kick off on June 1st and continue until June 30th, with an extensive program that includes over 700 artists, 8 stages, over 100 community events and more than 3 million festival attendees! Our theme ‘Be______’ is a heartfelt call to embrace our true selves with unapologetic pride. In overseeing the tapestry of this festival – from thought-provoking narratives to impactful events – each element is carefully crafted to advocate for authenticity and amplify the resiliency of the 2SLGBTQI+ community. #pridetoronto
