If you are interested or know of anyone that may fit this position email me at jay@quadraconcrete.com Full job description ABOUT: Quadra Concrete Equipment Inc. specializes in designing, manufacturing, and maintaining top-quality concrete batch plants. We are looking for a Contractor with proven skills and experience in Steel Detailing for structural steel and mechanical steel industrial equipment applications. Emphasis on concrete batch plant equipment such as hoppers and conveyors, you are to produce shop drawings, BOMs, fastener lists, and DXF profiles in Autodesk Inventor DWG, from provided 3D models. You will need significant experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor programs. This is Contract work and hours may vary, and will fluctuate greatly during demanding projects. We are looking for someone to work on their own hours and produce work after hours and over weekends in order to keep our projects moving. We have noted that this is Hybrid, if you are local, it may be beneficial to be able to come in for meetings to the shop to understand the product better and see our expectations. RESPONSIBILITIES: We will provide the 3D Models from our Mechanical Engineers in Inventor. In Inventor DWG, you will prepare: Detailed shop drawings for steel fabrication and manufacturing Installation drawings with assembly breakdowns (erection drawings) Complete Bill of Materials, steel list, etc. Understand fasteners to include in bill of materials Flat patterns and profiles exported to DXF in AutoCAD You will need an acute attention to detail to identify problem areas in production, or mistakes made in the design process. Double checking clearances, hole sizes and interferences. You will complete work on a drawing by drawings basis, given timeframes and deadlines to be met, in order to keep our projects flowing. You will be able to follow our templates, and part naming conventions in order to help us standardize our product. You will also uphold consistent design drafting standards across projects by communicating expectations and ensuring team members meet these standards. WHY JOIN QUADRA?
