Radius expands Tierra Roja Copper Project in Peru, via new staking Radius Gold Inc. is pleased to announce that it has staked additional property in Peru, expanding the size of its Tierra Roja Project from 600 hectares to 1,870 hectares. Based on our team’s increasing understanding of the geology of the area, the Company believes that there is additional potential to the southwest where contiguous claims have been staked. Recent update! Latest images from Felix Zimmerman, Logistics Manager at Radius Gold, show progress on a newly upgraded access road to our Plata Verde silver exploration project in Chihuahua, Mexico. Drilling expected to commence this month. Plata Verde was a historical large-scale underground bulk mining silver operation rediscovered by Radius geologists.

Radius Gold and JV partner, Volcanic Gold Mines are pleased to present an update on the first-pass drilling campaign that is ongoing at the Motagua Norte Project. Drilling to date has confirmed that the broad area of boulder float with abundant visible gold and bonanza grade assay results discovered by Volcanic geologists is underlain by a serpentinite package, and that all of the colluvial boulders of quartz and schists bearing the high-grade gold values have likely moved downslope from a major structural corridor that the JV has named the Veta Madre Fault Zone. Radius Gold and joint venture partner, Volcanic Gold Mines, are pleased to announce that a first-pass drilling campaign has commenced on the Mila Gold Discovery located within the Motagua Norte Project. The Mila prospect to date is defined over a 250 m by 600 m area of quartz outcrop, subcrop and boulder float with abundant visible gold and bonanza grade assays discovered Volcanic geologists in Central Guatemala. A diamond core drilling rig has mobilized to commence exploration of the compelling gold targets developed at Mila. Drill holes are designed to establish the width, grade and geometry of gold mineralization. Volcanic anticipates drilling between 1000 and 3000 m of diamond core in the first campaign. Radius Gold is pleased to announce that Minera San Julian, S.A. de C.V. a wholly owned subsidiary of Fresnillo plc has paid US$171,000 to Geometales del Norte-Geonorte, S.A. de C.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of Radius Gold, under the terms of the Exclusivity Agreement for the development of the Plata Verde project in Chihuahua, Mexico. This amount has been used by Radius to fund payments pursuant to the underlying option agreements with the owners of Plata Verde’s mining concessions.
