An honor to be on your InfoComm Show cool list 😎
What is the coolest thing you saw on the floor at InfoComm Show 2024? Many people ask me that over the last week, and I have to say that well into my 2nd decade of these shows, the gear is not the most impressive part of the show anymore. The connections, meeting new rising AV stars, and getting to walk the floor with our clients, and creative partners, who all bring unique insights and perspectives to the technology that we see all the time is what gets me most excited. That being said, I do love sharing the cool experiential tech discoveries that help take #XTG projects to the next level. When I did break away from the AVI-SPL booth, here are 3 of the coolest things I saw, heard, and experienced at Infocomm 2024 that you might not have seen covered. 1. Realmotion™ demonstrated their impressive, realtime media ecosystem and turnkey interactive solutions consisting of impressive media servers, supporting commercial grade sensors, real time authoring tools and uncompressed playback capabilities. We also got to see this ecosystem in action at an amazing TEA event with our amazing partner Float4 at Atomic Golf, including a deep dive into their AI-powered marker-less motion capture system. https://lnkd.in/gB3eAjdT 2. Longtime partner DISPLAX, who manufacturers some of the worlds best interactive multitouch solutions, teamed up with Interactive Scape GmbH out of Berlin to demonstrate their impressive multi-touch, gesture and object recognition solution powered by artificial intelligence. Particularly impressive is their phone recognition demonstration, where your iPhone on the table becomes a part of the interactive experience with rest of the multitouch canvas. I really love applications where real and virtual merge, creating a truly captivating experience. https://lnkd.in/gbc5srzC 3. I have always loved ghost like effect of projecting video on mist or fog. When done well, the effect is that of ethereal objects floating in mid air. Our partner Panasonic Connect showed a really cool solution for this application called Morphic Silky Fine Mist which uses pressurized water and compressed air to create a small-particle misty canvas ready for projection. You can see this solution in action at Teamlab's Massless Clouds at Superblue Miami. https://lnkd.in/g7C3BPpK Also impressive was the LG Electronics Kinetic Video Wall as well as Samsung Electronics super impressive Transparent MicroLED displays. I wish I had the time and space to showcase the many amazing partners who killed it at the show this year. We could not do what we do without you. #avispl #AVTweeps #IC24 #Infocomm #thinkbeyond
