Had the pleasure of attending a breakfast hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, where Alberta’s Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, Dan Williams, and renowned psychiatrist Dr. Goldbloom discussed the critical need for more mental health and addiction services, improving timely access to evidence-based supportive care, and reducing stigma surrounding mental health.

Last Door has been blessed by Amazon.ca’s giving-back initiative with 40 pallets of brand-new items donated to us. With nearly 60% of the items being Women’s and Children’s clothing, we worked all day and night to create 150 industrial-size bags for women's addiction recovery treatment centres and other non-profits… sharing the gifts with so many this Christmas season. It’s been a rewarding three days; we know how Santa feels every year 🙂 Thank you to all our people who sorted everything and created the packages, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to the following recipients we could share with. When it comes to recovery, it’s about more than just overcoming addiction; it's about rebuilding and strengthening every aspect of life. This is what we call recovery capital—the internal and external resources people can draw upon to support lasting recovery. One important form of recovery capital is physical activity. At Terminator Foundation, we see firsthand how activity-based recovery therapy can change lives. By moving the body, we move forward, building a foundation that supports not just physical health but mental well-being, social connections, and self-confidence. It’s a tool that anyone can use to take back control, build resilience, and realize their potential. Let’s keep moving, together. #RecoveryCapital #MovementForChange #EmpowermentThroughAction #TerminatorFoundation #RecoveryJourney #AddictionRecovery #ActiveRecovery #HealthyMindBody #SupportRecovery #MentalWellBeing #RecoveryCommunity #calgary #alberta #albertamodel #ABRT

  • Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process. Today is a day of learning, understanding, and reflecting. Today is a perfect to consider your own personal impact on the world. #NationalDayforTruthAndReconciliation Learn more here https://lnkd.in/gHrRzxkc
