😢393 days with no family😢 Harvard has now been looking for a home for one whole year and one month. He’s also spent the last few months without even having a foster home (he has been in boarding). He is a WONDERFUL dog and he deserves to feel unconditional love every day! Harvards boarder says he is the easiest rescue she has ever cared for. He is extremely well behaved in the home and loves to chill out and play ball in the yard. He’s perfect in his crate, has never had an accident, cuddles, likes to meet new people, and is pretty good on leash. He’s currently in a suburban Oshawa neighborhood’s and this type of environment is great for him. He is dog selective but makes friends easily when they’re his type. His best friend was Momo, our big goofy fluffy girl but said no thanks to the borders intact male malinois. He’s successfully made friends and gone on walks with other dogs as well but he’s just not going to be every single dogs friend, and that’s okay! He’s a classic good boy who is looking forward to an easy going life with a family who will go on a couple walks, throw his ball, and then cuddle up on the couch. Seeking a FTA for a returned adoption 💔 Lincoln is 6 years old now was originally adopted in 2020. Since then, his family has had one child and is expecting another. Lincoln has been stressed with all the changes and so they have made the decision to return him. We recently had him evaluated and he did great. He’s very sweet and accepted belly rubs and walked great with other dogs. He loves going out on adventures and collecting sticks but also has a great off switch and is happy to cuddle up and relax in the home. His family has not used a crate since adopting him and he is left to free roam when alone, which they report has never been a problem for him. To limit more changes for him than necessary we are seeking a foster to adopt home. This would mean you get to spend time getting to know Lincoln in your home with the intention of adopting, and if all works out then you’ll make it official! Adopt Studebaker 💛 We have always been open to any local surrender who would do well in our foster program. To those wanting to help an Ontario dog we have many in our care currently looking for homes, including our most recent surrender, STUDEBAKER 🌻 Stude has been in our care for a few weeks after being surrendered when his owner was planning a move to a new country. It’s been a busy few weeks focussed on getting him healthy, scheduling his neuter, and getting him settled in a foster home. He had a tough transition accepting that he isn’t home anymore and not wanting his new fosters away from him. After a few moves and time in paid boarding, he’s finally settling into his current foster home with one of our all star supply & transport volunteers. His sunny personality is not to be over shined and we know someone will be SO lucky to have this special boy! Studebaker: 💛68 lbs 💛1 years old 💛yellow lab 💛Higher energy 💛extremely smart and food motivated. Once you get the rhythm he knows how to swing his butt into a pretty heel and loves working with you 💛potty trained 💛loves loves loves people 💛great on car rides and likes to snooze in the back 💛dog friendly. Has been on play dates and walks with a large cane corse x and a tiny Australian shepherd puppy and did great with both. Currently living with 2 dogs. 💛with proper handling (he’s a young guy) he is an amazing walker 💛working on crate training. He needs time in a new place to accept that he’s okay and his people will come back. After that he does better but would still do best with someone who can be home a lot and continue to work on this with him. Another foster backed out 💔 We don’t know what’s in the air today with multiple foster backing out on their dogs in the day of transport, but it’s heartbreaking. We don’t want Chuseok to arrive in Canada as the only dog with no one there to welcome him with love and a warm bed. Fosters can be within 3-4 hours of the Greater Toronto Area, can live in any home type, can have pets in the home, and most work schedules okay! Kids must be 12+.
