As a Canadian company, we want to acknowledge The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We encourage everyone reading this to reflect on this day - to honour the lost children and survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities. On September 30th, 2024, we continue to honour this day of remembrance, reflection, action and learning.

Ricki's has enjoyed a relationship with the Canadian Women's Foundation for over 15 years. In those 15 years, we have been able to donate over 1.9 million dollars! Last year alone through the hard work of our field teams, we were able to donate $100,000. Along with our monthly in store donation drives, the team here at 1530 Gamble Place in Winnipeg will have some exciting events planned to help get our shared services team involved in the action. June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to celebrate and learn about the diverse traditions, achievements, and histories of Indigenous Peoples in Canada. On Thursday, June 20th, to honour and celebrate National Indigenous History Month, we welcomed Indigenous Elder Deb Cielen and members of her organization, Life’s Journey, to our office. They performed a traditional Indigenous cultural ceremony for us. We were so honoured to have Elder Deb share this experience and pass on some of her great knowledge to help deepen our understanding.
