August 22 was a big day for our affiliated dealers Richard Latreille and Nathalie Solomon, who celebrated the reopening of their RONA Maloney store in Gatineau following major renovations.   The duo modernized and expanded their store to enhance customers' shopping experience. In addition to recovering used refrigerators and freezers with the purchase of a new appliance, we've decided to do more to help our customers to properly dispose of their old household refrigeration appliances. Why do we do this? It’s quite simple. If improperly recycled, such appliances are responsible for significant GHG emissions at the end of their life.   Until September 25, we're running a pilot project to recover used air conditioners and offer a rebate coupon valid on the purchase of a new air conditioning unit at four of our stores on the Island of Montreal: Réno-Dépôt Lasalle, Réno-Dépôt Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Réno-Dépôt Marché Central and RONA Anjou. Used air conditioners recovered from our stores as part of this project will be collected and recycled by GoRecycle and its partners. This organization ensures the responsible recycling of household refrigeration appliances in Quebec. ♻️   Need a new air conditioner? Bring your old appliance to one of our four participating stores and help ensure its proper recycling. 👌   #RONA #environment #recycling

En plus de récupérer les réfrigérateurs et congélateurs usagés à l’achat d’un nouvel appareil réfrigérant, nous avons décidé d’en faire plus pour aider notre clientèle à se départir adéquatement de leurs vieux appareils ménagers réfrigérants. Pourquoi? C’est simple. S’ils sont recyclés de manière inadéquate, de tels appareils sont responsables d’importantes émissions de GES à la fin de leur vie. Jusqu’au 25 septembre prochain, nous menons un projet pilote pour récupérer les climatiseurs usagés et offrons un coupon rabais valide à l’achat d’un nouvel appareil de climatisation dans quatre de nos magasins sur l’Île de Montréal : Réno-Dépôt Lasalle, Réno-Dépôt Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Réno-Dépôt Marché Central et RONA Anjou. Les climatiseurs usagés récupérés dans nos magasins dans le cadre de ce projet seront collectés et recyclés par GoRecycle et ses partenaires. L’organisme assure le recyclage responsable des appareils ménagers réfrigérants domestiques au Québec. ♻️   Avez-vous besoin d’un nouveau climatiseur?
