What is an activity example of EAL -SHSM? A few skills that are covered include learning the proper sequence for grooming a horse, memorizing the grooming brushes and how to use them, using body language to lead a horse, and understanding how one's behavior can impact the horse. Grooming your horse is a great activity, and great way for students learning that communicating with their body language allows them to building respect, trust and leadership with their horse partner. Students learn that good communication skills are important in every aspect of life, incluiding trust and respect are both critical, vital components to building healthy relationship whether it be in their personal relationships to professional success.. If either one is missing, it is not possible to lead a team or build a strong and healthy relationship. As a Certified Equine Assisted Learning specializing in Equine Assisted learning activities truly has been very rewarding for me. Our Equine Assisted Learning is to positively impact student's lives through working with horses. In the arena the results shown are that students are more open, empowered, happy, and inspired. Our highly specialized Equine Assisting (EAL) course runs all day and focuses on developing leadership and communication skills in a speciale, practical and interactive way. Together with our equestrian partners, students enjoyed a full day of learning and development. The Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) is a specialized program that allows students to gain credits toward Ontario Secondary School Diploma and focus their learning on a specific economic sector at the same time.
