Earlier this week, the Extended Healthcare Professionals Coalition (EHPC), of which SAC is a member, presented to the House of Commons Finance Committee on our pre-budget submission. We emphasized the critical need to continue the expansion of the Canada Student Loan Forgiveness Program, the continued expansion of health human resources data collection, a tax credit to help small employers expand their health insurance coverage, and funding to support the integration of our members into primary care teams. A special thanks to MP Francesco Sorbara for recognizing the importance of including S-LPs in the Canada Student Loan Forgiveness Program during the session. Expanding this program is a key strategy to address staffing shortages in our professions and would improve access to care in rural and remote areas across Canada. #Advocacy #Healthcare #SLP #Audiology #PreBudget #HealthHumanResources #PrimaryCare #LoanForgiveness
