Salient Energy is celebrating- the world’s first zinc-ion battery module! We have completed initial cycling of our zinc-ion battery module including a battery management system with thermal monitoring and cell balancing while optimizing performance. We are stringing together our zinc-ion cells in series and parallel to build the voltage and capacity for demonstration testing of our residential prototype system and other energy storage applications. This is a significant milestone toward Salient Energy’s development of higher-voltage modules and systems, that will be used in commercial and grid-level stationary energy storage applications. Our batteries are safer, more reliable, and far more cost-effective than lithium-ion.
