If you are an advisor to owner-managed businesses I want to hear from you. I am interested in getting together with like-minded advisors to form a Kelowna BEAN (BUSINESS EXIT ADVISOR NETWORK). I'd greatly appreciate it if you could join me and a few others for our first planning session. The goal is to collaborate in helping more business owners have successful transitions.  Our goal for the first planning meeting is to establish a core group of people to help plan and run the BEAN Kelowna Meetups. This will enable us to build an advisor community and beat the 1 in 20 odds for business owners to have no-regret transitions. The BEAN meetups are intended for anyone (i.e., accountants, lawyers, tax specialists, brokers, M&A advisors, bankers, investors, consultants, etc.) who are trusted advisors helping business owners succeed. It is a “Networkshop™”; where we’ll connect, share & collaborate. We want people in our individual networks to join us & bring a friend to participate in an active, engaging discussion on where we all fit in the business transition lifecycle & discover who we can best collaborate with. CFIB says 76% of owners are going to transition out of their businesses in the next 10 years & we believe every owner deserves a maximum-value exit. Consequently, there is a huge opportunity for advisors to grow their professional services business by coaching not just their clients on transitioning, but their exit advisory teams as well, to ensure your client's success. The Business Exit Advisor Network (BEAN-KELOWNA) in-person meetups are where advisors can connect with other specialists to build their exit advisor teams.   Lastly, if you are interested in attending please write down and bring a list of any questions, concerns, issues or ideas you hope will be discussed at the meetings. Also, if there is anyone you'd like to bring to the planning meeting please pass on the invitation.
