We're a different kind of business, owned and governed completely by our membership. Serving Saskatoon and area.

About us

Saskatoon Co-op is a different kind of business. We are a co-operative which means we are a jointly owned and democratically controlled business that meets the common economic, social and cultural needs of our members. Members can be any group of people – customers, employees, or even other businesses or organizations. Membership means you own part of our co-operative. As an owner, you can participate in the democratic decision-making process by asking questions, voting on resolutions at our Annual Meeting, electing board members or even sitting on the board yourself. Each year, Saskatoon Co-op may return a part of our profits back to you, based on how much you shop with us and how well our business performs. Some of this is returned as equity, which is like a savings account that grows every time you shop at our association. We’re more than just a place to shop, we’re a business built to support our communities and meet the needs of our members.

  • We were proud to sponsor this year’s Step Up for Mental Health Run/Walk (5K & 10K) by supplying all beverages, snacks, and fruit to over 5,000 participants, as well as having some of our amazing team members represent! This incredible event raises funds for mental health support programs across Saskatchewan, making a real difference in our communities. At Saskatoon Co-op, we understand the vital role mental health resources play in improving support for those who need it most. We're committed to helping build healthier communities♥️ | Federated Co-operatives Limited |

  • On this important day, Saskatoon Co-op stands in solidarity with Indigenous communities as we reflect on the legacy of residential schools and honor the survivors, their families, and those who did not return home. As a locally owned co-operative rooted in community, we are committed to fostering understanding, respect, and healing. We recognize the importance of listening to and learning from Indigenous Peoples, and we strive to build stronger relationships based on trust, integrity, and reconciliation. We encourage our co-operative’s members and the broader community to take this day to learn more about the truths of our shared history, participate in local events, and support efforts toward meaningful reconciliation. #EveryChildMatters #TruthAndReconciliation

  • What an amazing September getting to engage with students and alumni at the University of Saskatchewan to share the benefits of being a Co-op member! 📚🐾 Saskatoon Co-op has proudly sponsored Huskie Athletics for over 40 years, and we’re thrilled to continue that tradition by sponsoring this year’s Rally Alley - Homecoming Football Game held on September 13th, where we gave away Co-op popcorn and prizes! Go Huskies! We also had the opportunity to participate in the USask Open House on September 20th. It was incredible to see over 2,000 prospective students and their families from across the province. Saskatoon Co-op is excited to be a part of your school year!

  • At Co-op, we believe in more than just providing great products and services – we’re about building connections that last a lifetime. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce our revamped Kids Club program! This FREE program creates memorable experiences for kids and families in our stores and community, offering exciting perks like free treats, birthday surprises, and fun events! This year, we were proud to sponsor the Prairieland Saskatoon Exhibition Co-op Family Fun Zone! Our team had a blast handing out Kids Club treats, chatting with families about the program’s benefits, and even having our awesome mascot Cooper, join in on the fun during the parade 🎈✨

  • Last week, we were in Colonsay celebrating the grand opening of the new Community Disc Golf Course. The course was funded in part by a Community Spaces grant from Federated Co-operatives Limited, and is another example of our co-operative living its value of community. Our CEO Gerald Hiebert, Board Directors David Thieme, Gord Bedient, Ron Frey and Member Relations Committee representative Warren Cooper were on hand to commemorate the event and toss some discs (even occasionally hitting the basket.) Congratulations on a wonderful event! 🥳

  • “The only place I purchase fuel. I have never in the 35+ years that I have gone to Co-op been disappointed with the service. All of the employees are friendly and willing to help.” —Connie H. Until August 18, fuel up with at least 30L of gas or diesel and receive an entry to win a $1,000 Co-op fuel gift card. The enthusiasm has been incredible as our gas bar team members go above and beyond to make each visit exceptional and… fun! Additionally, we recently celebrated the 10-year anniversary of our Blairmore gas bar with a fantastic BBQ and exciting prize giveaways. Truly a milestone. A huge kudos to our dedicated fuel team for their continued commitment!

  • In July, our Ag team hosted crop tours for our farmers and growers in Colonsay & Hepburn. Collaborating with our suppliers, we showcased new canola varieties, shared insights from a fungicide pea trial, and provided the opportunity to learn more about late-season diseases from Ian Epp, Agronomy Specialist at Canola Council of Canada. Attendees also enjoyed delicious meals and had the chance to win prizes. A big shoutout to our Ag team for bringing this event to life and going above and beyond to share their expertise with our customers! 🌾🚜
