Scout was founded with a mission to make deliciously crafted, sustainably sourced seafood more accessible while contributing to ocean health. Through our membership in 1% for the Planet we make sure to contribute to organizations doing critical environmental work with a minimum of 1% of our revenues annually. This year, we directed our 1% to SeaTrees - an amazing organization that not only helps restore our ocean but also supports local communities around the world. Our donation was used to support the replanting of mangrove forests in Baja, Mexico near one of our fishery partners. On behalf of the whole team, a huge THANK YOU to our customers and community that allow us to make this impact: every time you buy a Scout product you're helping us fund this critical work. You can learn more about the project at https://lnkd.in/gunCcWMm and, if you are so inclined, join us in supporting SeaTrees this #GivingTuesday. #givingtuesday2023 #bluecarbon #climateactionnow

My first guest piece for The Economist and the World Ocean Initiative shines a spotlight on how I feel we all can make a positive contribution to the health and wellness on our oceans and waterways. Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Scout https://lnkd.in/ecfzBW7q
