Today we informed our studio that we made a reduction to our staff at SkyBox. In total, 25 people from our studio have been affected. Despite all our best efforts, we are not immune to the unprecedented challenges that have impacted so many companies in the industry. Every impacted employee will be fully supported through severance, extended benefits, career transition services, and connection to other resources to provide them with the assistance they require during this difficult time. We are grateful for everyone who made the choice to join the team at SkyBox and are deeply thankful for their contribution to our studio and the great games we’ve created together.

🌞 We had such a blast at our SummerCAMP Fest last week! 🏕️From conquering the giant inflatable obstacle course to creating our own buttons, it was a day filled with fun, creativity and friendly competition. ☀ Some fun highlights from another sunny month at Skybox Labs! ☀ 🌴 Club Tea's Beach-Themed Summer Tea Party: We soaked up the sun and sipped on delicious teas and snacks on the patio. A perfect way to enjoy the warm weather! 🎮 Gameplay Guild's Trivia Night: The trivia night was a blast, with so many cool prizes and competitive fun! 👩💻 HerStory Virtual Trivia: Run by the Women in Tech and Allies (WITA) ERG, we celebrated and tested our knowledge of Women's History with a thrill-inducing online trivia. 🥙 Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) ERG's First-Ever Potluck: We came together for a delicious assortment of dishes from all around the world to celebrate the launch of the BIPOC ERG. 🌸 We're continuing our spotlight series for Mental Health Awareness Month with Amber, a dedicated member of our Facilities team and co-lead of our Well-Being ERG. 💡 What does Mental Health Awareness Month mean to you? For me, it means prioritizing mental health and recognizing the impact of mental illness on people's lives. It's a time to reflect on my well-being and that of those around me, including my husband and teammates. I ask myself how they are doing and what I can do to help them with any stressors or obstacles they're facing. 🎮 What's your favorite part of being in the Well-Being ERG? I love sharing experiences about mental health and learning from others in the group. I'm excited to promote opportunities for improving mental health and to create engaging conversations and events with fellow SkyBoxers. 💼 What is your go-to workplace mental health tip? Mental declutter. When my mind feels cluttered, I open a document and start emptying my thoughts onto it. Seeing them in a visual space helps me organize and plan effectively, which always makes me feel better!
