This performing arts center was the first of its kind in West Vancouver, and made to come alive by Mrs. Kay Meek herself by her vision, passion, and generosity. Kay Meek came to us to help them with a full redesign and development of a new site. They had a unique business model integrating many Spektrix components, like Subscription Series and Rental events. They had a large integrative site that was one of our largest projects to date. We are thrilled to feature Kay Meek as one of our clients, as we had a lot of fun building out this site! 📣 Client Shoutout: Specific Mechanical Systems Specific Mechanical Systems (SMS) designs and fabricates brewing systems for businesses all around the world! 🍺 They have been manufacturing brewing systems since 1984 and all their systems are 100% made in Canada. SMS first came to Sland in 2020 for some technical updates and support with their site. Last year, SMS was ready to have a full site rebuild from Sland which included a thorough UX analysis + exercise, completely new design of the site, and tons of custom areas to be developed for better functionality. The biggest highlight includes a completely custom calculator developed by our team so users can calculate Brewery or Distillery System sizes. This robust website is the perfect blend of honouring Specific Mechanical Systems deep history and today's modern web technicalities by highlighting their custom charts, calculators, customer lists, and products. Officially, MBAC has been one of our clients for 10 years(!) since we started working with them back in 2014. Last year, we decided to revamp their website, showcasing their projects in an image heavy and immersive way. Since their goal was to display their project images at full screen scale, we knew it was important to have their UX thoroughly planned out, solidified, and executed to give their users the best experience possible. 📣 Client Shoutout: Castool Tooling Systems The Sland and Castool collab started back in 2018 when Castool was ready to heighten their digital presence. Castool is one of our clients with very niche and distinct products on the market, and locations all around the world (truly, they have almost all 4 corners of the Earth covered). Sland was forunate enough to create a plugin back in the day specially for Castool that would help highlight specific products + their features, and how all these products work cohesively together. Earlier this year, we decided to redesign + develop the Castool website with a cleaner and more modern look while staying in line with their branding and voice. This re-work gave our team the chance to collaborate further with Castool to provide them a website that has seamless function and is easy for users to find any detail on product parts, services, and locations.
