Admittedly, I'm guilty of two of these habits and am breathing into the change process. The response to the changes I make is evident in the results that I get. It will be the same for you. What do you have to lose? I would love to hear your thoughts. https://lnkd.in/gzYkpEBX

Supporting leaders to find the power of presence since 2017.
About us
Small Pause Coaching & Consulting was founded in March of 2017. Dave Lundberg is the founder. Dave is a leadership coach, organizational consultant and advocate of working inside the pause. 'The Pause' as Dave calls it, is the place where all the real work happens. Getting underneath the stories of 'I can't' or 'I'm confused' is what happens inside 'The Pause'. What is the way that you will use the power inside the pause? If that question seems abstract or you are uncertain, that is where Dave can help. Bringing clarity to the unknown or not yet know is where he shines. Dave supports all his clients in a wholehearted way and believes that he cannot take his clients anywhere he is not willing to go himself.

The Power of the Pause: How Exceptional Leaders Find Clarity in Stillness In the whirlwind of leadership responsibilities, I've learned that the most impactful moments often come from not doing anything at all. Those who learn how to balance the art of doing with the art of pausing truly become masterful leaders. Over and over, my experience has taught me that exceptional leaders know how to harness the power of the pause. Here's why it's a game-changer: • Enhanced Decision-Making: Pausing allows your mind to process information more thoroughly, leading to better-informed choices. • Elevated Strategic Thinking: A moment of reflection can reveal innovative solutions and long-term perspectives that may otherwise be missed. • Improved Emotional Intelligence: Taking a breath helps regulate emotions, fostering better relationships and communication. • Stress Reduction: Regular pauses act as a reset button for your nervous system, promoting overall wellness and making health choices. Aspiring leaders, I challenge you to embrace the pause. Start small – center yourself for 5 minutes before your next big meeting. You'll be amazed at what you notice about yourself. How do you incorporate pauses into your leadership style? Share your experiences below! #MindfulLeadership #StrategicPause

Let's work together to break down these barriers and create a supportive environment for everyone so that we overcome the stigmas of mental health. It's time to have an open and honest conversation about mental health. Here are a few things to consider: Education: Empower yourself with knowledge about mental health. Grasping the intricacies of mental health is the pivotal first step in dismantling stigmas, both for ourselves and others. Let's not overlook the signs. Compassion: We all have a role to play in supporting those with mental health challenges. At times, the person struggling will not have the capacity to open up the conversation about their mental health. Let's show empathy, kindness, and understanding to those who are struggling. And if you are the one struggling, be courageous and model the way. Open Dialogue: Remember, if you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, there is nothing that needs to be fixed with them. By having open and non-judgmental conversations, which is a balance of speaking and listening, about mental health, we can create a safe space for individuals to share their experiences and seek help without fear. Remember, mental health is just as important as physical health. Let's work to create emotionally supportive environments where mental health is always a part of the conversation. #MentalHealthAwareness #EndTheStigma #SupportEachOther

A recent study by an HR Consulting Company reported that 44% of Canadians feel unhappy with their current job. Are you one of these folks? Most 'unhappy' folks report feeling stuck. In my coaching practice, I hear this repeatedly from those seeking to enhance their overall satisfaction with life. The sense of stuckness is rooted in the idea that you are somewhere and feel like you should be somewhere else. Although seemingly motivating to some, this mindset is a slippery slope that may lead you to sink deeper into the quicksand. To release stuckness, you must first accept that you are stuck, and I mean fully accept. Lean into the stuckness and feel it! Where do you feel the stuckness? What colour is it? What sensations are associated with it? How does it make you feel when you bring your attention to the stuckness? These questions about exploring stuckness can lead you to the realization that the stuckness is what you make it. There is a choice in every moment, and by focusing on the stuckness, you may miss the opportunity to see the possibilities. Don't get me wrong, I have been overwhelmed by the feeling of stuckness and have been one of those 44% of people dissatisfied with their work environment. It happens! If you feel stuck and unhappy, perhaps opening up to that stuckness with guidance and support can lessen the struggle and suffering. An ICF Certified Coach could help you with the way forward! #Coaching
