Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs) and Gaussian Splatting are recent breakthroughs in 3D representation and synthesis. Using AI to analyze images and camera positions, they allow real-time view synthesis and inverse rendering in computer graphics. Gaussian Splatting processes sparse data and rasterizes it for faster rendering, while NeRFs utilize ray marching or ray tracing to simulate light behaviour, creating more realistic environments.
